Summary
This complete set includes all four books in the Wish Quartet - over 30 hours of magic, romance, forgotten gods, and plot twists!
Josephina Espinosa woke up on her last day alive knowing three things:
- This was supposed to be her last job.
- Magic wasn't real.
- The Society of Wishes definitely didn't exist.
She was so, so wrong.
Now she's the newest member of the very Society she thought was only a legend. Her work is only just beginning. And Jo must earn her place among her new team by helping grant wishes using powerful, destructive magic within her.
Jo is used to having a lot on her plate. What she's not used to is following orders - especially when they come from the mysterious and sexy leader of the Society, Snow.
When Jo directly ignores Snow's orders to save the life of her best friend, she learns that there's much to the Society she still doesn't understand. Everyone has their secrets.... And none may be deadlier to discover than her own past.

Enjoyable
This is a great series, I loved the camaraderie between the characters. There were a few plot twists that I didn't see coming which definitely kept me interested. I have listened/read most of Elise Kova books and have never been disappointed with any of them. I enjoyed the narrator and all the accents she did very enjoyable.

Absolutely incredible!
I loved the whole world that Kova and Larsh have created, set in the not to distant future, after World War III. To be honest with you I was just going to love any book which Elise Kova had a hand in writing.
I loved the characters in this book, Jo the protagonist was fun to read and although I totally disagreed with what she was doing at times (she will not sit and listen to advice!!) I found that her reasons were sound even if she were a little rash and headstrong. The other characters were so unique and fun to read too, from the warm and welcoming Nico, to the enigmatic Snow. From first impressions, I thought I was going to love Pan, but surprisingly by the end I really disliked her. I am really interested to see how her character develops in later books – whatever happens I am sure it will be fab.
I felt that the characters and the relationships between them were really intriguing and reading the members Society of Wishes I can’t wait to get to know them better and maybe find out a bit more about where and when they are all from. I found it really refreshing to read about a female character like Jo, who knows what she wants and goes and gets it for herself. (I am trying really hard not to give anything away here – so apologies for the vagueness) She is a problem-solver and she won’t let anyone talk her into sitting anything out. She was fun to read because she was so fiery and so bold.
The system of magic and wishes which Kova and Larsh have created is incredible, it’s so unlike anything else I have read, wishes, time, watches, the whole Society itself. Wonderful! I loved it all. I can’t wait to read more about the system of wishes and to learn more about the magic each member of the Society possesses. I am also intrigued to learn about the fragmented America which is featured in the book too.
The only niggle I have with the book is that it just wasn’t long enough – I wanted be more! I am totally nitpicking here, because I am sure we are going to get all that and more in the later books but I still feel like I wanted more background in this first book.
I am going to finish off my review by saying this – I totally recommend this book, the whole series is incredible!
