Summary

A hilarious review of the roller-coaster ride that was 2021 from Twitter legend and best-selling author of 52 Times Britain Was a Bellend, covering the good, the bad and the downright bonkers news and culture stories from the year.

You might have forgotten (or wanted to forget) the storming of the Capitol, the Meghan and Harry interview with Oprah, Dominic Cummings turning on his former master and that bum squeeze by Matt Hancock - but James Felton is here to remind listeners of all of that and more using his usual razor-sharp wit and gleeful disdain. Whether you're after some painfully funny company on your commute or want to chuckle/become enraged on the way to visiting loved ones over the festive period, The Year Was 2021 reminds us all just how ridiculous the last 12 months have been - and prepares us for the onslaught of 2022....

Amazing. Had me laughing out loud.

There are things that happened this year that I missed (Mr Potato Head saga) and I am still surprised that someone got hot under the collar about it. This was well presented and done at a good pace. Top marks to everyone involved!

Hilarious. Shame it's not fiction.

You have to laugh, otherwise you'd cry at the Annual Horribilis that was 2021. Thankfully James Frlton has documented it all, voiced perfectly by Russell Kane.

phenomenal, as you would expect from James!

James is undoubtedly The King Of Twitter and his scathing review of how much the UK has fallen apart in the past 12 months is a perfect summing up of the mess we're surrounded by!

Very entertaining

Very entertaining review of the chaotic events of 2021. Even if I'm laughing through some tears.

Laugh then cry

He’s good for morale. Touching review of a binfire of a year, mainly due to Johnson, Republicans and swivel eyed loons. Off to cry in the corner until spring.

Worth it for a few laughs

It’s like Charlie Brooker’s annual review but with swearing.

Good for a few laughs, but not quite as funny as it clearly thinks it is.
