The UFO enigma has been part of our culture since the 1940s and is building to a worldwide explosion of acceptance today. Using newly declassified and Freedom of Information Act documents, eyewitness accounts, interviews, and leaked documents being authenticated, The Presidents and UFOs details the secret history of UFOs and the corresponding presidential administrations. Starting in 1941 with the Roosevelt administration, author Larry Holcombe examines the startling discoveries facing a president preoccupied by WWII, the explosion of UFO sightings during the Truman years, first contact during the Eisenhower administration, and the possibility of a UFO connection to the Kennedy assassination. In 1975, the Nixon administration came very close to admitting that UFOs exist by funding a documentary by Robert Emenegger. Almost 40 years later, this book will examine Emenegger's findings. For the first time, the involvement of all of the modern presidents up to and including President Obama, and the rise and then fall of their influence on UFO issues, are told in one story that is an integral part of the fascinating UFO tapestry.

An excellent informative UFO book!
I would recommend reading this book. The presenters tone of voice works really well with the material. The research and way the book is conveyed is most compelling.
I’ve read well listened to several books about UFO’s / UAP’s and this is up there with some of the better ones. Hope you enjoy it!!

Excellent ufo history
Recommended to all and for the curious to have some idea of the history and complexity of UFO. This can be one of the world's biggest cover-up s in history of man kind. Very likely recent history.

Great expose of Presidential cover-ups of UFO
Its no secret that after World War 2 , there has been rapid development of the Defense industry This could be a combination of migration of German scientists and technology knowledge combined with access to alien technology. There are UFOs but the Governments continue to deny them to avoid social, religious and other queries that they cant respond to. Well written and narrated, presenting all points of views

interesting history of UFOs
This is an interesting history of UFO encounters since WWII. You can choose to believe it and, if you read this book then the assumption can be made that you either do or are open minded.
Either way, the writing is clear, the reading is excellent and the arguments are intriguing if not entirely convincing.
As Mulder's poster in the x-files stated:

"Entertaining with alot of anecdotal information"
Interseting and entertaining at times, for it is packed with an awful lot of anecdotal information and events.
At times this was a little tedious leaving me to fast forward through the plethora of experts, generals and associated service personnel and their respective US departments!
Finally I fully appreciative the immense time and effort undertake by the author to compile such material for this fascinating subject.

We are definitely not alone
A great book, the theme of presidential history helps to tell the unfolding story of UFO contact. It gives a structure and a timeline that in itself adds evidence to our regular contacts, but also describes the development of our society s attitudes to the phenomena. Whatever your previous level of interest you cannot help to be astounded by some of the very best accounts over the decades. Especially the one about...ah have to leave it there as some government guys have turned up at the door!
