About this listen

The first time I met Brody Easton was in the men's locker room. It was my first interview as a professional sportscaster. The famed quarterback decided to bare all. And by all, I don't mean he told me any of his secrets. No. The arrogant ass decided to drop his towel just as I asked the first question. On camera.

The Super Bowl MVP quickly adopted a new hobby: screwing with me. When I pushed back, he shifted from wanting to screw with me to wanting to screw me. But I don't date players. And it's not because I'm one of the few women working in the world of professional football. I'd date an athlete. It's the other kind of player I don't date. You know the type. Good looking, strong, cocky, always looking to get laid.

Brody Easton was the ultimate player. Every woman wanted to be the one to change him. But the truth was, all he needed was a girl worth changing for. Turned out I was that girl. Simple, right? Let's face it. It never is.

There's a story between once upon a time and happily ever after...and this one is ours.

Contains mature themes.

Great

I really liked this story. Very entertaining. It's well written and funny. It was great narration too. The only thing that let it down was the Willow POV. It came out of left field... pun intended!

Good story gripping

Mackenzie has a lovely voice and was very suited to the character. Sean voice sounds like an old man and spoiled the story.

Loved the story twists and turns wanted more.

Male Narrator doesn't match.

I felt that the male narrator's voice didn't match the character and took me out of the story. Especially when he spoke as a female.
The story was good. Some unnecessary hesitance at the end.
The female narrator was excellent.

Loved this book

The characterisation was great, I loved most of the participants. The storyline was good but it was the developing relationship between the h/h that was the best.
Al!so the narrator's were excellent.
I really enjoyed it

Lovely story

The female voice is great but I have no idea what they we’re thinking about the guy the voice is just unpleasant to listen to.

Narrators make or break the audiobook

I have read Vi Keeland's books before and always enjoyed them so I went into this book with high hopes. The story did not disappoint but, unfortunately, the male narrator did.

The Baller was a very typical Vi Keeland book where the story is cute, there are some hardships on the way to the MCs happiness and there is some spice but overall, the book is very PG. Both MCs were likable and I especially loved Easton's cocky demeanor!

The female narrator has narrated some other books that I have listened to and I think her voice is extremely pleasant. Unfortunately, I do not like the male narrator's voice at all. The male narrator's voice grated me the wrong way overall but especially when he was speaking as a female character *cringe*

The only reason I listened through the book and gave it such a high rating is the story. The good thing about audiobooks is that they can be listened to while doing something else! Although, I know I would have actually finished the book faster being able to read it myself and not having anything to take away from the story.

Really liked the story

Great reading performance and also the story, I listened to it in two days very curios to see how it would go and feeling the tension in the though moments. I recommend it.

It was nice

This was a very typical Vi Leeland book. Two highly gorgeous characters that can't wait to jump one another, they just have a few hurdles to overcome before lust can turn into love.

I enjoyed listening and some parts made me feel very warm and fuzzy. If being honest, I would find myself becoming a bit bored and wishing that I had it in paperback rather than audio so that I could flick and skip.

The voice actors were okay and didn't distract too much from the story line, my only negatives are; the female voice, when she swaps between Delilah and Willow (two female leads, who have whole chapters in their pov) there is no alteration to her voice, which therefore threw me off a little when the POV's switched.
Personally I found the male voice quite irritating at times and nasally when putting on a girls voice. I didn't look forward to chapters where he spoke.

Overall very nice story. But I won't be rushing back to re-read just yet.
