Summary
The first time I met Max Yearwood was on a blind date. Max was insanely gorgeous, funny, and our chemistry was off the charts. He also had the biggest dimples I’d ever laid eyes on. Exactly what I needed after my breakup. Or so I thought… Until my real date arrived. Turned out, Max wasn’t who I was there to meet. He only pretended to be until my real date showed up. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Before he left, he slipped me a ticket to a hockey game a few blocks away, in case things didn’t work out on my actual date. I tossed the ticket into my purse and went about trying to enjoy the man I was supposed to meet.
But my real blind date and I had no connection. So on my way home, I decided to take a chance and stop by the game. When I arrived, the seat next to me was empty. Disappointed again, I decided to leave at the end of the period. Just before the buzzer, one of the teams scored, and the entire arena went crazy. A player’s face flashed up on the Jumbotron. He was wearing a helmet, but I froze when he smiled. You guessed it: Dimples. Apparently, my fake blind date hadn’t invited me to watch hockey with him, he’d invited me to watch him play.
And so began my adventure with Max Yearwood. He was everything I needed at the time - fun, sexy, up for anything, and only around for a few months, since he’d signed with a new team 3,000 miles away. Max proposed we spend the summer helping me forget my ex. It sounded like a good plan. Things couldn’t get too serious when we had an expiration date. Right? Though, you know what they say about the best-laid plans.

so different
Max and George's relationship seemed very complex and they have original set up where they we're together just for the summer and then Georgie told him that she wanted have her relationship because she had fallen in love with him and Max then decided no he didn't want to and you know the found out why that was because it was quite obvious he was in love with her as well well it just didn't sit right with me it's seems a bit false and I just felt that it was unnecessary

One of the best books I have heard.
Loved it. The difference between being jealous of your partner and making them feel alive and loved for what they do is what captured me the most. 'Cause I have been in the same situation myself.

loved it
absolutley love Storys by Vi Keeland as they are so real. u always feel with Charakters in the book.
they make u laugh and cry and u can never be Sure the Story will end as have thought.
yet it always ends happy.
can only recommend this story.

Absolutely brilliant 💜
Wow I don’t know where to start I could NOT stop listening to this book ♥️ loved loved loved it Max is now my new BBF beautifully written with just the right amount of perfect narration by the talented Andi Arnt and Sebastian York this is a story of unwanted “long term” romance a self made successful woman who meets up with a pro hockey player via a blind date who are both just looking for short term fun but one of them has a secret be prepared to get those tissues out this book has all the feels thank you once again Vi Keeland for filling our hearts with your magic xx

The Best
Keeland strikes again! What a lovely book. I cried. I laughed. Pure wonderful! The characters were exceptional. I fell in love with Max. Such a gentleman . The narrators are my favourites. I will share this book and listen to it again.

Another knockout book from Vi Keeland
I absolutely loved this book, I was hooked from the start and listened to it in one sitting! I didn’t want it to end and would love a sequel to this amazing love story. Thank you Vi!!
