It started out like any other morning on the train - until I became mesmerized by the guy sitting across the aisle. He was barking at someone on his phone like he ruled the world. Who did the stuck-up suit think he was...God?
Actually, he looked like a god. That was about it.
When his stop came, he got up suddenly and left. So suddenly, he dropped his phone on the way out. I might have picked it up. I might have gone through all of his photos and called some of the numbers. I might have held on to the mystery man's phone for days, until I finally conjured up the courage to return it.
When I traipsed my ass across town to his fancy company, he refused to see me. So, I left the phone on the empty desk outside the arrogant jerk's office. I might have also left behind a dirty picture on it first, though.
I didn't expect him to text back.
I didn't expect our exchanges to be hot as hell.
I didn't expect to fall for him - all before we even met.

Pleasantly surprised
A bit of a slow burn but was a nice subtle dark romance. The story and character development was enjoyable and definitely kept me wanting to listen.

Unexpected twist
This story had unexpected twist which was refreshing read, after that it was very predictable but I loved their story, especially how he always put her first given very unpleasant cirtumstances. Narrators chefkiss as, I loved their voices, I actually bought this book bcs of Joe Arden🔥

nice cosy up with cuppa book
cosy up book ,true to life kind of situation and made me chuckle lots,really just what I needed to take my mind off stressful stuff. x

Great story!
The narration started off a bit annoying but you get used to it. I downloaded this on a bit of a whim as I usually go for crime, but I wasn't disappointed. its a great easy reading (or listening) story, with sweet characters and it's not all smooth sailing for them.

Just a really great listen
Love the books these authors put out and this is another great listen expertly narrated by Maxine and Joe they really do pull you into the story five stars all the way 😄

Good storyline dreadful narrating
As soon as I started listening I thought oh this is Cheesy. The narrating on the girls part was fine but the narrating on the blokes part was really smarmy, good storyline worth persevering with , worth a listen
