About this listen
Chicago Racketeers Book One.
I don't do casual hookups, so I have no idea what to expect when I meet not one, but three hot guys who are into me.
I'm an introverted, failing-book-shop-owning, romance-writer wanna be.
But after my dating disaster at a hockey game all caught on the jumbotron I somehow have the attention of three men.
Nathan Armstrong is the hot, older, sophisticated billionaire owner of the team.
Why does this man want a night with me? I'm baffled but I'm not saying no.
I should also say no to the romantic, suave, brilliant team doctor, Michael Hughes.
And the teams new hot-shot all-star player Crew McNeill.
But I don't.
And I'm loving every minute. Especially the minutes they decide we should all spend together. Golden Retriever Crew is all in, bossy, broody Nathan is reluctant (to say the least), and sexy, confident Michael knows what we all need. They're all here, promising to make every one of my fantasies come true.
And they do. Night after headboard-banging night.
But it can't last.
Good thing I was okay with a short-term fling because as soon as the fans find out what were doing, our lives and my heart are going to be all pucked up.

4.5 Stars!
Puck One Night Stands is book 1 of the Chicago Racketeers series. This is a why-choose romance between the FMC Danielle (Dani) and her four dudes, Nathan, Michael, and Crew. Dani is a bookstore owner who one day goes on a bad blind date. Whilst there, she catches the eye of the hockey team’s owner Nathan Armstrong when he is asked to interact more with the team’s fans by giving out free front role/seat tickets. During the game, she is also reacquainted with her bestie’s brother, Crew McNeill, who happens to be the new hot shot player for the team (the Racketeers). After the game, she also meets the team’s doctor/physician Michael Hughes. They all want her. How will she navigate these new romances with 3 different guys?
This book was just so fun to read/listen to. It was full of banter, and you can’t help but to love all these characters. Although my fav was def Crew, I loved all of them and their personalities. Dani was the quiet, and quirky bookstore and bakery co-owner whom we got to see come out of her shell by the end of the book. Nathan, the older, broody owner of the hockey team whom very much gave alpha vibes. Michael, the level-headed and caring one. And Crew (my heart belongs to Crew 🥰💕), the younger, funny, witty and goofy hockey player who also happens to be Dani’s bestie’s brother. I really enjoyed seeing all of their interactions and how they went through the journey of dating Dani and trying to fit each other into their lives. Overall, this book was such a delight to get through. As well as the fun vibes it gave, this story was also steamy and heartwarming and had it all. If you are looking for a light but angsty why-choose story, I highly recommend you pick up this book!
I also enjoyed the narrated of this audiobook. It featured a full-cast narration performed by Penelope Rose, Sebastian York, Winston James, Zachary Johnson, A.M. Elizabeth Kay, Victor Quixabas, and Aryann Michele. This book’s narration is phenomenal. I really felt like I was in the story and was there with all the characters, with them all telling me their story. They all did an amazing job narrating!

Puck One Night Stands: Chicago Racketeers Book 1
🎧🎧AUDIOBOOK REVIEW🎧🎧
I began the journey of Danielle, Nathan, Michael & Crew a little over a month ago and I was so enraptured with them that I jumped from book to book with minimal spacing in between! These characters were FUN and I could not get enough of them!!
This story unfolded like a whirlwind and it was pretty darn perfect! Everything happened or rather unfolded, at a rapid pace but it was never rushed. The story’s pacing was on point in my opinion to the characters’ personalities but also the actual storyline itself. This story was meant to be a quick romp kinda thing and it delivered! I am really happy with this story and its outcome!
There’s something somewhat fantastical about the entire *world* these 4 live in but it doesn’t come across as unrealistic. It was a choice the author made to drown the story in societies issues, but rather create a positive environment where the world minds their business and people let live. The only trepidation about the polyamorous relationship came from the main characters themselves and not their surrounding world. It doesn’t get any better than that. Write more stories like that and I’d be a happy reader!
I really love that the author took the first book in this series/serial to introduce the polyamorous dynamic and how each individual person adjusted to it. I wouldn't consider it individual character growth and depth, but more of growth and depth to their romance choice. Feel me?
🎧NARRATION:🎧 I am incredibly happy with all narrators because they "fit" their individual characters perfectly. But I have to give MAD PROPS to Penelope Rose! She was a delight! Every single time she narrated, I had a huge smile on my face. She brought to life Dani so vividly for me that I was giddy! Sebastian York played the part of the "older" billionaire perfectly and I loved it! This was my first time with Winston James & Zachary Johnson in my ears and I enjoyed the heck out of them as well! Although narration as a whole was a perfect 5 star rating, Penelope gets 10 stars!
