Summary
Logan Murphy should come with a warning.
He’s as hot as a Carolina Reaper on black asphalt in the middle of July.
With perfectly messy dark hair and smoldering blue eyes—and don’t even get me started on the way that black tee stretches across his toned chest…
He’s my brother’s best friend.
He’s also a football star on track to win the first wide-receiver MVP in league history.
Good thing I only date golfers… or I did.
Good thing he’s only visiting for a month, because the more I see he’s not a player, the harder it is to block him from running away with my heart.
I’ve always loved football, but after eight years pro, everything about it leaves me cold.
So when I agree to head south with my best friend, the last thing I expect is to have my face melted off by his pepper-loving little sister.
Dylan Bradford was supposed to be a kid, not a feisty pinup who looks at me like she’s never seen a man before.
She’s all curves and cutoffs, bare feet dancing in the warm summer night.
But I’m only in town a month, and she doesn’t date football players.
Then late-night talks turn to sharing past hurts and future dreams, and shy looks turn to confident kisses.
The heat between us can’t be denied. It’s spicy and sweet, and it melts us together.
Until the way we touch becomes more than friendly—it’s forever.
(THE WAY WE TOUCH is a small-town, brother’s best friend, sports romance with hilarious “accidents,” and a dirty-talking hero. No cheating. No cliffhanger. No third-act breakup.)

Loving these Bradford brothers!
Audiobook review: Narrated by Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais
This is such a fun insta-love romance between Dylan, a small town girl with a famous football family, and her brother’s best friend, Logan. There is not much angst in this one but still was highly entertaining. Dylan’s character was the star of this show with a highly lovable personality and lots of fun antics at the family bar/restaurant. The side characters were great and I saw a lot of potential for upcoming books in this series.
The true star of the book though were the narrators. They made a fun read that much more enjoyable. Samantha Brentmoor’s accents were amazing and she, as always, was masterful in her delivery of multiple characters throughout the book. Connor Crais is one of my favorite male narrators because he has the perfect tone to voice a MMC. I listen to most books straight through and it is no hardship at all when we get a dream team like this duo.

Sweet
This was an easy, sweet read that will have you feeling warm and fuzzy when you finish. It has its spicy scenes, but overall, the book is very sweet. Teammates sibling, football, quirky FMC, and more can be found in this book!
I listened to this one on audiobook, and both Connor Craise and Samantha Brentmoor did amazing. I can't say enough about how I'd listen to just about anything these two do because their voices for such a wide variance of characters and they're both so good at showing the emotion of the story in their voices. Highly suggest a listen!

4.5 Stars!
This was cute, fun, and brought some drama!
The Way We Touch is a sports, small-town, brother’s best friend/best friend’s sister romance. Logan breaks up with his current girlfriend (or situationship) after she suggests a threesome with the man she’s cheating on him with. Feeling lost and unfulfilled with his life, he agrees to travel to the hometown of his teammate and best friend for a month before the start of the new football season to clear his head. There he meets Dylan, his best friend’s sister. Former ballerina Dylan now runs the "Coot and Shoot" restaurant/bar for her family (Side note: I really loved the Coyote Ugly vibes this bar had 😀). These two are attracted to each other but try to fight that attraction because she has some past trauma with her family members being football players and getting injured, so she refuses to date football players. Plus, the added issues of her brother/his best friend. Add in some jealous exes, paparazzi and damning tabloid articles, and you have yourself some drama and obstacles that Logan and Dylan have to overcome to get their hard-earned HEA.
This book had the right amount of fun, humorous, spicy, romantic, and dramatic vibes. Yet, it was also able to cover some more serious topics. I really enjoyed it! My very first Tia Louise book, but it won’t be my last!
I listened to this on audio. Narrated by Connor Crais and Samantha Brentmoor, the narration was just fantastic! I really enjoyed the character the narrators brought to the story. They really did bring the story to life for me!

The Way We Touch: Bradford Boys Book 1
🎧🎧AUDIOBOOK REVIEW🎧🎧
I cannot express how ridiculously well Samantha Brentmoor brought to life Dylan, our FMC. I mean she was perfection!! This is truly one of the best narrations I’ve listened to by Samantha of late. Yes, I’ve always enjoyed her voice, but this was next level. Well done! And of course, paired off with one of my favorite male narrators, Connor Crais, and it was a party in my ears for almost 9 hours! #winning
My very first time experiencing a Tia Louise story was back in 2021 and I kid you not, for almost two years, it felt like all I did was read her work LOL I was addicted. I finished the audiobook for this title about a month ago (sorry for reviewing so late LOL) and I honestly feel like listening to it all over again right now. It’s a smooth, easy-going, heartwarming story. It’s got depth that doesn’t clog the story, rather it enhances the smoothness of it all. Like a gentle breeze, the romance between Logan & Dylan unfolds in wisps, organically and realistically. They are relatable and so is their story. There’s no circumstance that surrounds them that is forced or drama-for-drama … just two adults growing to more. It’s absolutely delightful AND ridiculously funny with its shenanigans! I felt the goodness of this story down deep in my bones and man, did I want to be in their orbit!
Tia Louise doesn’t write cliché or trite plot-points. You won’t find the typical dramatics and third-act shenanigans in her stories. She writes real-life stories with fictional characters. That’s what sets her apart. That’s why I love her. That’s what you’ll get in The Way We Touch and if I may so bold as to recommend you jump on this audio, because Samantha & Connor narrate the you-know-what out of this story!

Sweet brother's best friend romance
This is the first book in The Bradford Boys series, a small town, brother's best friend, and sports romance. Logan and Dylan's story is well written, cute, fun, passionate, and heartwarming. Logan, a football star, is handsome, sweet, and kind. Dylan is sassy, smart, and sunshine. I liked the banter, and the sizzling chemistry. This is a beautiful story. Connor Crais and Samantha Brentmoor did an excellent job bringing these characters, and this story to life. They are perfect as Logan and Dylan. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to more in the series.
