Summary
Don’t mess with Metatron—just don’t.
Nephilim barely survived the dramatic events of Behind Blue Eyes-War Games. Her body has been horribly damaged, yet her spirit is as unbroken as ever.
While Nephilim recovers from her injuries at Guardian Angel HQ, the High-Archangel plots revenge. Metatron takes the assault on Nephilim personally and will make those responsible pay.
If this means going against the Board of Olympias and starting a war with the elites, then so be it.
But Cillian Stavros is expecting an attack, and he isn’t the only powerful player who wants to see Metatron dead…. Meanwhile, Rosprom is preparing its biggest military offensive against Olympias with the goal of total destruction.
Only the Guardian Angels can stop the invasion. And only Nephilim can lead them into battle.
Will their desperate Last Stand be enough to avert a catastrophe?
Find out in the next chapter of Behind Blue Eyes—the modern-day cyberpunk saga.

The Best One Yet! Metatron for President!
Well, who would've thought at the beginning of this series we'd be rooting for Metatron? And yet here we are!
If you were warming to Metatron in book 3, strap yourself in for this one because he really shines here! You probably already know what a rich and compelling world Anna has created, and through Metatron you'll get to see that world from a new and interesting perspective.
To these ears at least, Last Stand is essentially a badass love story, as Metatron goes to war for his Guardian Angels, especially Nephalim, the one he loves most of all.
The best one so far for me! Curious to see how Anna will top this one, but I'm certain she will somehow.

I’m starting to understand Metatron
This is a great follow up to BBE 3 which was very much a launch pad for this story. I like the change in scale of the storyline line into Endgame type proportions with the book ending up in the titular Last Stand. It was very easy to visualise the battle and it was nicely played out.
So far in the series, Neph has been the only credible threat to Metatron and while this makes sense on one level, it did leave me feeling that Metatron will always come out on top. The Board and Rosprom all feel a bit lacking in threat to his position and I can really understand why he sneers at the lot of them. They really don’t deserve their positions of power; not that an all powerful Metatron would be a good thing.
Great performances as always

Story intensifies, with good pace
With each volume, book gets better and better. Surprisingly i like Metatron even more with each book. And dislike Jake even more. Such emotional approach shows how good are the characters presented by an author. I can't wait to hear what happens next. I liked the plot, which unravels more story and more riddles to be solved. I totally recommend this book to all cyberpunk and sci fi lovers :)

Keeps Getting Better
Each book keeps getting better, and the situation between the characters just makes us even more drawn into this fascinating world that Mocikat has made.
As others have said, the lines have increasingly become blurred, and our opinions, outside how much I find myself looking for even more cyperpunk content is moving more towards the Angels, and their way is actually the right way.
To change my mind from these views shows brilliant writing, and although it's taken me a while to get used to the narration as the characters sounded different in my head, im now onboard with them.
What more can I say than when can we get more and what happens next.
I requested this audio and have decided to leave my thoughts for everyone.
