About this listen
The longer a man lives, the greater the chance his actions will cost him in the future. When that man is an immortal nephilim, the misdeeds can really pile up. Lucas has paid for the crimes of his past for centuries, resisting any close relationship that might make his life even more difficult. Until Melena. Only she could begin to melt the ice shielding his heart, but then he was captured by his greatest enemies - angels.
Now imprisoned in Purgatory, Lucas is awaiting trial for his latest crime and knows the verdict will not be in his favor. Lucas is resigned to the fact that his life might be over, but he fears that without his protection Melena may not survive for long. She's got her own enemies back in Alaska, and her mortality makes her easy prey. Whatever happens to him, Lucas must find a way to keep her safe. No matter the cost.
Contains mature themes.

Great Storyline
This is a great supernatural romance. It has the usual vampires, werewolves and witches but also nephilim and another race which are called sensors. The sensors can sense when another supernatural is close and their blood can nullify the supe's power/spell. I have rated books 1 and 2 the same as this book 5☆'s, 4☆'s and 5☆'s. The 4☆'s are for the narrator. I found her representation of how men speak rather annoying. Unfortunately as time went on and more male characters were introduced my annoyance grew.
There are 9 books in this series, unfortunately this has to be the last one for me as think I'd end up bursting my eardrums with a sharp stick if I continued listening. I think it's time to rejoin kindle and read the rest in the series as well as many others that I couldn't listen to.🙂 📚
