About this listen
Once in a generation a woman comes along who changes everything. Tina Fey is not that woman, but she met that woman once and acted weird around her.
Before 30 Rock, Mean Girls, and 'Sarah Palin', Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: a recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV. She has seen both these dreams come true.
At last, Tina Fey's story can be told. From her youthful days as a vicious nerd to her tour of duty on Saturday Night Live; from her passionately halfhearted pursuit of physical beauty to her life as a mother eating things off the floor; from her one-sided college romance to her nearly fatal honeymoon - from the beginning of this paragraph to this final sentence.
Tina Fey reveals all, and proves what we've all suspected: you're no one until someone calls you bossy.

It's fast; it's funny, it's Tina Fey
This is a quick and fun listen. Tina Fey reads her own book excellently; no problem with capturing the authorial voice! She knows how to find the funny and comes across as someone you really want to get to know.
A strong, funny, intelligent woman. Awesome.

Best entertainment of 2020
This audio book has kept me going during 2020. I’ve listened to it slowly during the course of this dreadful year and it has never failed to make laugh and smile. Love you Tina Fey!

Easy Listening to hard working star
a very easy going but frank bio that doesn't pull any punches about showbiz or the sexism that exists there.

Not so Bossy really...
I'm new to autobiographies so went for a comedy theme. I enjoyed listening to Tina reading the story, I think it lends wait and credibility. There are some laugh out loud moments in between the story of how she started, made it and reached this point. In short lots of hard work, talent and a bit of lucky. Thank heavens for Sarah Palin.

Absolutely Loved It
Would you listen to Bossypants again? Why?
I have been meaning to read/listen to this book since it was released, and I'm so sad I ended up waiting so long, because it is brilliant. The book is well read, hilarious and thoroughly enjoyable, I couldn't stop listening.
Which scene did you most enjoy?
I would definitely recommend listening to the book, not only because Tiny Fey's narration is excellent but because it includes audio extracts of performances.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
'Bossypants' is very funny, just what I'd expect from Tina Fey. I was extremely upset when it finished, I didn't want it to end.
Any additional comments?
If you like Tina Fey, I'm sure you won't be disappointed after a listen.

Like chatting to Tiny Fey for a few hours
Not much of a structure to it, which was fine by me - it was like you've met Tina Fey at a party and asked her a few questions. I really enjoyed listening to her just talk!

Very funny lady!
Really snort-laughed my way through the first half! Always a winner in my eyes when I guffaw and snort! Enjoyed this book a lot. It slowed a bit in the latter part but was still good. Performance is fantastic.

Why Tina Fey lost a star
Firstly the books brilliant, read brilliantly by the author and dispite the giant man hands, she looks very nice on the cover.
However, all the hard work is slightly let down by audible.this is simply because every time she says "check the acompanying pdf" im left with a growing anoyance that i didnt get one with the download.
Come on audible your supossed to be better than this, maybe a bit of organisation and it would have been the TEN out of five stars audiobook that you and maths have prevented it from being!!

that how you do audio! get the author to do it, when the author is a likeable, upbeat and hilarious performer.
not that deep or meaningful, but interesting and constantly funny

If this is Bossy Pants, I want to be bossy!!
What did you like most about Bossypants?
Tina Fey is instinctively funny and totally human. She speaks so well and makes what some would deem uncomfortable... Comfortably uncomfortable. You just have to listen to understand.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Bossypants?
Hearing her talk about SNL, the infamous Palin sketch.
What does Tina Fey bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
Having Tina read her own autobiography meant that she could go off script slightly and be hilariously funny whilst doing so.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Tina spoke about not asking people about reproductive plans... And so much more
