Darrell Abby was raised by hard working parents in a small farming community in southern Illinois with midwestern ethics. He and his older brother were first generation college graduates. At an early age, flying seeds were planted leading more to sky borne dreams than piloting reality. But his love of math and science, along with his Christian faith, opened aviation doors leading to the pinnacle of wide-body captain for a major US airline. This LOGBOOK chronicles his story. Darrell and his wife, Nancy, of 54 years reside in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas metroplex. They enjoy their two married children and eight grandchildren.
