When Matt logged onto Zombie Wars Online, he expected another fun-filled night of zombie killing with his best online friends. Under the spell of the Felote, a gaming apparatus that forces the player into a controlled REM sleep, reality faded away and a new life began inside the game. It was the perfect escape from the harshness of everyday life. But when a malicious hacker takes control of the game, a new nightmare begins, far worse than Matt and his friends could have ever imagined.

The game is changing as Matt and his friends discover that their favorite past time has been taken over by hackers, and they're locked inside. Survival no longer just depends on elements inside of the game. In the outside world, players are dropping like flies from dehydration. Now the question is, which will kill them first, the zombies or the elements outside of their control?

This is an essay about the role of the teacher in our society, and the partnership between parent, child and teacher that forms the foundation of our education system. I also discuss the nature and meaning of education, some important people involved in the education system, the nature and need for education reform, and education and computers.
