Each of us pitches ideas every day. Sometimes we sell our ideas to a small room full of skeptical colleagues. Sometimes we pitch to a boss, or a board of directors, a new organization, or for the contract of our dreams. Regardless, it all boils down to the act of stirring someone to join you - to agree to follow you. Yet we consistently underestimate how critical it is to recognize the needs, spoken and unspoken, of the decision maker. Decisions are made by people, and people have needs and agendas.

Salvage System is a beacon of hope, and a number of other races continue looking toward it as an inspiration for how to live and govern themselves, and - in some cases - for assistance in defending themselves and throwing off oppressive regimes. But the galaxy is a big place, and many of the races in it aren’t friendly. Would these forces like to take over Salvage System and acquire its resources? Absolutely.

Time management is perhaps something every person should learn about in greatest detail. This is because time is the only commodity in your life that you cannot regain once it is lost. Time is what makes your life, and if and when you realize that with every minute that passes you are closer to your death, you will never, ever want to see a moment lost. Every human being has a dream. This is the life goal that he chases throughout his life. Some people achieve their life’s goal and some don’t. Which group of people do you want to belong to?

From the outside, The Lyon’s Den doesn’t look like much; there isn’t even a sign. But Mercs of all species know that if you head to Southwest Houston, near the Starport, there’s a particular run-down strip mall that looks like it’s been abandoned for years. In the entire history of the Galactic Union, Hr'ent Golramm would be only the seventh member of the Oogar race to earn a Peacemaker badge. But becoming a Peacemaker doesn't seem to be his destiny. He's not even sure he wants to be one. Deputy Selector Hak-Chet, on the other hand, has even bigger plans for the monstrous, young Oogar.
