Covering the subject of hypothyroidism - an underactive thyroid gland - this book contains 17 chapters dedicated to the most common thyroid disorder that exists. All aspects regarding hypothyroid conditions are addressed in this resource, in easy-to-understand language. This book is approximately 12,192 words in length. The "Best Darn" reference in the title, is not to imply that this is an extensive medical journal but rather that the book contains all aspects of information on the subject that most laypersons would be seeking.

Mitral Valve Prolapse is a heart murmur found commonly in the general public and can cause heart palpitations, orthostatic hypotension (dizziness upon standing), other symptoms of an imbalanced nervous system and anxiety/panic symptoms. Medical Research studies have found it to be even more common in thyroid disease patients, especially those with autoimmune types of thyroid disorders. It is also believed to be about five times more common in females than in males.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia affect millions of Americans and many more worldwide. While a single definitive cause for these syndromes has not been found, factors involved in triggering them include chronic stress, nutritional and hormone deficiencies, post viral illnesses and mildly insufficient adrenal function. These same sources, including the U.S. National Institutes of Health have found that both CFS and FMS patients present with cortisol levels (the major adrenal stress hormone) that are lower than that of the healthy population.

It is my intention, through the chapters of this audiobook, to inform listeners who experience these common but most-often benign palpitations, with facts, that can help them to better-cope with the concerning symptoms they may experience with these strange heartbeats.

The majority of patients with both hypothyroidism (under-active thyroid) and hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid) are experiencing autoimmune diseases that cause these conditions. When autoimmune thyroid disease results in hypothyroidism, the term for the disease is "Hashimoto's thyroiditis". When the autoimmune disease of the thyroid causes hyperthyroidism, it is called "Grave's Disease". Thyroid antibodies attack key proteins in the thyroid gland and in some cases, stimulate production of excessive amounts of hormone.

This resource is comprehensive from the biblical perspective, on the subject of an earth created by God that predates the one that was later created to be Adam's domain. Thyroid disease patients can experience a number of different complications as a result of their hypothyroid (underactive thyroid) or hyperthyroid (overactive thyroid) conditions. Two of these complications are nerve pain and dysfunction, referred to as "peripheral neuropathy" and muscle weakness with possible atrophy (shrinkage of muscles), referred to as "thyroid myopathy".

Over 100 types of PN have been identified, according to medical research organizations. This demonstrates the fact that each person will experience the physical results of damaged or diseased nerves, differently than do their fellow patients. Some people feel more of the burning sensation while others may feel very strong tingling that literally feels as if a colony of ants are stinging them simultaneously on their feet and/or legs. Some PN patients are affected exclusively within their feet and they may experience not only tingling and burning sensations within them but they may also feel stabbing pains as well.

Christians and even some non-Christians recognize we are near the very beginning of "the great tribulation". The beginning events, that lead to this seven-year time period of both God's and Satan's final wrath, is called "the beginning of sorrows" (Matthew 24:8). This audiobook is a detailed look at Adrenal Fatigue symptoms, diagnosis and treatment by a fellow sufferer, who has experienced this stress-related syndrome. I, the author, have also found treatments and lifestyle change methods that have been tremendously effective in relieving my symptoms. In the year 2003, during a time I was developing autoimmune thyroid disease and going through a prolonged and severe period of stress (chronic), I experienced this very real illness that results in mildly diminished adrenal function.
