This book contains six of Charles Finney's sermons. Each one powerful and sharp and truly deadly to the flesh. He was an amazing preacher and his legacy lives on. May this book encourage you onward to holiness and fervent passion for Jesus Christ, for why else listen to this book? We should desire more of god and each bit of food we take in from the great men of god of old should only stir us to greater spiritual maturity.

Charles Grandison Finney (1792-1875) was a Presbyterian minister and a leader of the Second Great Awakening in the United States. He has been called “The Father of Modern Revivalism”. These powerful lectures deal with religious revival, how to encourage or promote it, and explaining how a revival experience may be maintained in the life of the Christian and in the life of the church. The author considered a religious revival as a new beginning of obedience to God.

Charles Finney (1792-1875) was a Presbyterian preacher known for his revival services and extemporaneous preaching. He also dealt with social issues and was an abolitionist. In 1835, Finney was appointed as a professor of theology at Oberlin College; he became its president in 1851. Sermons on Gospel Themes is a collection of his sermons, including 24 delivered at Oberlin College between 1844 and 1861. They were taken down in shorthand while Finney preached them, and submitted to him for correction or addition.

All Christians and sinners should understand that the whole plan is complete. They should understand that the whole of Christ—his character, his work, his atoning death, and his ever-living intercession—belongs to each and every person and simply needs to be accepted. There is a full ocean of it.
