最近、本が売れない。 その理由はいろいろあるだろうが、まず、ぼく自身が本を読まなくなった。ぼくは、炭坑のカナリアみたいなところがあって、ぼくの好きなものは流行るし、嫌いなものは流行らない。いうなればアーリーアダプターだ。 ぼくは狙って、あるいは好きこのんでアーリーアダプターになったわけではない。気づいたらなっていた。それも、子供の頃にほとんどその骨格ができていた。その頃から、ぼくが好きなものは流行るし、嫌いなものは流行らないという傾向があった。 そのぼくが、昔は本を読んでいたが、今は読まなくなったわけだから、本というものは本当に売れなくなったのだろうと思わされる。だから、本が売れない理由を分析するには、ぼく自身を分析するのが、一番手っ取り早い。 （本文より）岩崎夏海「ハックルベリーに会いに行く」はこちらから→http://yakan-hiko.com/huckleberry.html
