Summary
The feeling I have in this very moment, after not seeing her for so long, will haunt me forever, reminding me why I left to begin with.
For as long as I can remember, Easton Crews has been off-limits. As much as it kills me, that’s never going to change. After his little disappearing act three years ago, then suddenly showing up out of nowhere, I shouldn't want anything to do with him. It doesn’t matter how beautiful he still is. Or how close we once were. It shouldn’t matter that my entire body lights on fire with need whenever he gets close. He chose the worst possible time to leave without so much as a goodbye.
However, just like the first day he walked into our home, I'm drawn to him, needing him near me just as badly as I need air to breathe, and I can't stand it. I want to hate him. I know I should hate him. But hating him is the last thing he'll let me do.
When I push, he pulls harder...until I'm completely wrapped up in him, my mind lost in the one person who is forbidden - the one person I’ve always loved, even when he belonged to someone else. Easton was never meant to be mine. It took me years to come to terms with that and now that I finally have, he's here, right in front of me, more irresistible than ever.
The part I fear the most about that - he’s the one person capable of completely wrecking my world. “I’m not leaving until you take all of your hate out on me. Let me feel it. All of it. Every dirty look. Every nasty word. I will have it all before I leave. Stop hiding from me.”

Great audiobook
I really enjoyed the story but I loved how the audiobook was narrated with the women narrator speaking all the woman’s parts and the same of the male narrator.

Great chemistry
I love it when an author absolutely nails the chemistry between characters. This book is 100% spot on. With the vocal talents of both Kai and Wen it’s pretty much perfect.

Loved!
I enjoyed this listen,
A story of a broken friendship,
Misunderstandings that left hearts broken,
Can enemies ever be lovers?
Can Dakota & Easton finally make this time around theirs or has too much time passed for them to find true happiness?????
I’ve not read (listened) a Victoria Ashley book in a while and I can’t wait to get back to reading some more :)

Brother’s best friend
Kota has been in love with her brother’s best friend Easton for as long as she can remember. He was also her best friend until he left town after her sister Quinn died. The problem was that Easton was also her sister’s boyfriend. Three years later, Easton is back in town and it brings back the old feelings and also the feelings of guilt for wanting the one person she can’t have. Good story and definitely full of angst. Kota is a strong female character with a sassy attitude. Easton is an alpha who has always tried to do the right thing even if it’s not what’s right for him.
Good narration by both narrators.

Brilliant
I loved this book. It dealt with so many real life issues like loss and friendship. It was nice to see the main characters slowly learning to deal with everything that had occurred
The narrators as always did an amazing job of allowing the characters to speak through them and tell their story.
