Summary
My boss is a jerk, but when I discovered him clutching his sausage and moaning my name, I made a mistake that I can't take back.
Emmett Lasker is impossible to work for. He might be model handsome and stupidly wealthy, but he also has it out for me. He’s given me more last-minute and weekend requests than anyone else, ruining any plans I make.
I should quit. And I will. Just as soon as I hit my two-year anniversary and earn out my signing bonus.
But after a particularly awful day at work, a breakup (via text!), and my computer crashing, I’ve had enough! So at 11:59 Friday night, I barge into Emmett’s office to tell him what I really think of him.
Only, that’s not what happens. AT ALL.
There’s something about finding your ridiculously hot boss in a compromising position, moaning your name, that can derail a girl’s best intentions.
And now? I’m pregnant. He wants to “do the right thing” and marry me.
Yeah. That’s never gonna happen.

4 Stars
Narration was fantastic, Sebastian York and Maxine Mitchell are masters at their craft.
Really difficult to pin point what didnt work for me with this story, it ticks most of my boxes, accidental pregnancy, grumpy boss etc but I found Amy completely unlikable. Shes too blond, too "perfect" and absolutely a brain full of squishy cotton balls. The whole Emmet/Amy dynamic just reminded me of really toxic office relationships I've come across in my professional life, usually as the chick left dealing with the extra workload, grumpy boss and observing the blatant favoritism, it made the "chemistry" between them both eye-rollingly infuriating. Amy must be particularly dumb if she couldn't see how Emmet was manipulating her day to keep her close to him, especially since everyone else had an office POOL about when she was going to start banging her boss. I dont think the story had enough of Emmets POV, he was just an emotionally immature Bosshole. Amy?? The jury is still out on that one.

Very funny
This was a romantic comedy. There was some drama too. It was a story about romantic and family love.
I enjoyed the story and the narration. Sebastian York has a way of making things sound funnier, but I also liked Maxine Mitchell.

Mostly inner monologue ramblings
The inner monologue ramblings are mostly wild assumptions that border on childish insanity. The characters are so uncoordinated with miscommunication, you'd think these are thoughts of teens not grown adults with multiple degrees. It happens so much that it sours the entire story.
