About this listen
Everything I want is here, in front of me.
Rusty Campbell left Hart’s Bay after high school to work in the wilderness. Now, he’s back home for one purpose: seaweed farming. To succeed, he’ll need to fight the tide and win over his skeptical family, once burned by the fishing industry collapse. But there are intriguing new faces bringing good fortune to Hart’s Bay, like the captivating redhead who watches him from the art gallery.
Six months after moving to this small town, Ezra Carter’s bed feels empty. Painting and running an art co-op with his friends doesn’t fill the same need. The city boy is seriously considering lowering his standards...until the man of his dreams walks in and throws his no-good hookup out of the bar.
Why does Rusty have to be straight?
Rusty is mystified at the surging chemistry between them, as their friendship grows. Is Ezra the missing piece to the puzzle of Rusty’s love life? As Rusty struggles to make sense of his feelings, he guides Ezra through his home territory to give the artist new inspiration, but he winds up becoming Ezra’s muse himself. Before long, they’re fumbling their way through uncharted waters.
Can their picture-perfect, no-labels relationship weather the storm brewing under their feet?
Wild Hart is the third book in the new Hart’s Bay series about a small town full of nosy but well-meaning neighbors and brotherly banter. It can be listened to on its own and promises a happily ever after ending with plenty of smiles and steam along the way. Just hold on. When the boat's a-rocking, don't come knocking!

Amazing as usual
You can never go wrong with a story from Ed and the narration of Greg. These two together are always a must read and listen.
As for the story itself....
This series has been amazing. To not only grow with the characters but the town is truly amazing. Ezra we have seen here and there over the past 2 books and to say I've been waiting is just a smidge of how impatient I was to see where this story was going to go.
I laughed so hard at some parts cause I could so image the author as Ezra during some of these scenes. We have a few "scary" moments but they are certainly made up by all the smiling you will be doing while reading this amazing story (less)

I'm loving this series
I'm really enjoying this series but I think this might well be my favourite of the three. Rusty is like clickbait for me. Muscled through hard work not the gym, dedicated, sweet as toffee, and straight... Eh? Well, he thinks he's straight until meets Ezra and starts questioning his sexuality. And I love a good sexual awakening story. Coupled with my favourite character type, well I'm in heaven.
The story is comparatively low angst, with Rusty accepting his shifting sexuality far easier than Ezra. The narrator is perfect in his performance yet again.
Highly recommended

I am really loving this series so far
Ezra and Rusty are so adorable together. This is a great, slow burn romance which really makes sense for this story. Rusty has always assumed that he is straight and then he meets Ezra and sparks fly, which totally confuses him. I love the fact that Rusty is determined not to mess Ezra around. Ezra is so bubbly and adorable but vulnerable underneath and Rusty is such a sweetheart. I loved watching their friendship grow and eventually turn romantic. This book gave me all the feels and I can't wait for the next in the series.

Sweet, Fiesty, and Endearing!
I loved Ezra's story! He and Rusty were perfect together and I loved Ed's approach to Rusty and his personal and sexual discovery!
There is such a spark from the start between these two and I enjoyed the journey to finding themselves and explored their connection. I really enjoyed Rusty's story as he discovered and grew. He really came into himself and grew in confidence and was able to find himself, stand up for himself and find something he never knew he was looking for.
Ezra has always been a favorite of mine and his story didn't disappoint. He has such a big heart and thankfully it ended up being safe with Rusty.
A beautiful story of discovery and growth!

What a terrific book
I absolutely love the Hart’s Bay series, I love Wild Hart the most. This is a beautiful story where Rusty finally found his perfect match.
As always Greg Boudreaux did a fantastic job of taking the listener on a journey to Hart’s Bay. I can hardly wait for the next book.

Sweet & Romantic, a Real Gem!
They were all enjoyable, but I've got to say Wild Hart was my favorite. I love that trope, and the characters were so adorable and they worked so well together. This books in this series are definitely all standaloneable so read them in any order.
This series is my first experience with Ed Davies and I have to say, I'm hooked. Sweet, laugh-out-loud funny, and super sexy, the perfect recipe for a romance.
The audio version of the Hart's Bay novels are performed by Gregory Boudreaux and he does a marvelous job. He totally gets Mr. Davies' humor and I could practically hear him smiling during some of the funny bits. And, of course, the way he reads the romantic scenes is everything we could possibly want.
an audiobook copy of Wild Hart was provided to me for the purpose of my honest review

Gay for you troupe...
One of my favorite troupes. Rusty is straight as can be. He meets Ezra and become close friends. Ezra makes it clear how attracted he is to Rusty. What I like about this series is that their characters are clear as water. They don’t hide and even thinking they are straight, they accept their feelings with a fierce determination. I really enjoyed Ezra and Rusty’s romance.
