Fun listen
I’m actually going to relisten as think I may have missed elements of the story as the reveals were a bit underwhelming- and one of the characters voices was unbearable xo

Another great read
I loved Mackie’s first crime novel and this second one is just as wonderfully written. I listened to it in a couple of days and really enjoyed the multiple perspectives. I hated basically everyone which is absolutely the point.

A modern twist on a classic whodunnit
Give it a go if you like crime novels but also enjoy things being mixed up a little. The interesting way the story is told from three perspectives does that. If you haven’t already also read/listen to ‘
‘How to kill your family’.

The story itself works but I really did not like one character.
I really had trouble listening to this and found it quite depressing because there is not one likeable character in it. Every person is incredibly selfish and thoughtless. It also dragged. The story moved at a very slow pace and was quite obsessed with the London fashionable rich crowd. I did not actually find it amusing at all just incredibly annoying. I think the reader did well with the voices etc and she obviously worked hard and the story was actually quite clever. I just wished I’d liked the characters just a bit.

Witty, dark and brilliantly told
I found it a little slow to start, but I’m so glad I persevered because the whole story was brilliant. Characters are well rounded and I loved to hate them, the story was excellently woven and very entertaining. Would definitely recommend.
