About this listen

Against all odds, Althea Zoltaire emerged from her trials as a champion. Now, she must train even harder and prepare herself to become a true warrior of Thezmarr.

But Thea’s world is turned upside down as she struggles to navigate her newfound magic and uncover the secrets of her past. Slowly, she begins to untangle the truth about her family, her powers, and the evil that threatens to engulf the kingdom.

When Wilder Hawthorne returns to be her official mentor, everything changes. Dark forces are gathering, and he will stop at nothing to prepare her for the challenges to come, even if it means breaking her.

As war looms and their quest for answers leads master and apprentice deeper into danger, the undeniable connection between them intensifies—defying all odds, but also threatening to tear them apart.

With secrets unravelling and evil closing in, Thea and Wilder fight to save the world and each other. The fate of the realms rests in their hands. Will they emerge victorious, or will the darkness consume them both?

Full of action, adventure, and steamy romance, Vows & Ruins is the second book in the spellbinding epic romantic fantasy series The Legends of Thezmarr.

Another good audiobook by two really good narrators!👏

The storyline of this one was really good, but I felt it was greatly spoiled by the number of times it was interrupted by s€x scenes! A few times I'd have been fine with, as the story was so gripping and the romance deserved it.🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm disappointed this felt ruined by the amount of steam. The storyline would've stood alone without it!⭐️ It's still definitely worth reading and listening to, though!📖 🎧

Okay, what?!

There is one thing that is truly brilliant in this book and it's the banter. It's so excellent and rapid and funny, it shows real comradery amongst the characters and you get a real sense of family. All the clues were there but I still didn't see the ending coming. Really looking forward to see how this continues. And yes there is a fair amount of spice in this book but let me tell you: I'm here for it.

plot twist

amazing! fantastic story line for this 2nd volume of what looks like a firm favourite saga to be. character development is very good and narration is spot on. I'm off to purchase the next volume....

Lost the plot

I feel like both the author and the characters lost the plot in this one. I loved that the first in this series had great world building, a fierce female lead who didn’t immediately give up all her dreams when the male lead wandered in BUT this one was all ‘we can’t be together’ and then IMMEDIATELY they were at it. Definitely too much ‘sword play’ and not enough sword training in this instalment. The story progression got neglected.
I’ll try the third and reserve judgement as I really want to see how it progresses but I was disappointed in this as a whole.

Love this series

This is the FMC that I’ve wanted to see in a book for ages. Great writing and a great story.
