Better the Devil you know...
Having even intrigued by the concepts and delighted and drawn to some of the characters in the earlier books, especially in book three, this reader was rather disappointed with the progress through Virtual Prophet which, jumped frenetically between locations seemed to impart an author's desperation to resolve many of the twists earlier introduced rather than a coherent resolution. It remained a fun book to hear but no longer one which held a true integrity. However, the final paragraphs appear to hold out the hope not only of there being more to come but also that there had been an overall arc which would give further depth to this already multi layered story.
As before, The performance by Luke Daniels is excellent with the large cast of protagonists individually voiced.
Worth reading if you have come this far, if only to find some of the answers.

Can't stop! Listening arghh
I do like this series of books and I was going to go straight onto book 5. uh oh! There isn't a book 5 available yet on Audible.
The whole series is defiantly worth buying, it gets better and better.

A good ending
The one thing I was annoyed about was the names. I don't understand why the name of the Devil and the protagonist had to be so similar. One's called Daniel and the other Danielle. The two names sound so similar when listening. It confused me every now and then when they were talked about back to back which happens in the later half of this book. Apart from that I enjoyed this book. Would definitely recommend this if you've already read book 1-3 as this can give a nice ending to the story.

Story is getting overly complex
Great performance from Luke Daniels. Every voice done perfectly and differently. My only issue is that the story has become increasingly complex. I enjoy a complex story but it seems incessant. Hopefully the next book will bring it back down to earth,... or tygon or the dream :)

Utterly pointless
Would you try another book written by Terry Schott or narrated by Luke Daniels?
Yes
What was most disappointing about Terry Schott’s story?
Alexa can't play this book beyond chapter 20, the stream is broken. It just gives error messages. The whole series was a massive waste of time and money.
Who might you have cast as narrator instead of Luke Daniels?
Nobody, he's great.
What character would you cut from Virtual Prophet?
I don't know. I never got to hear the end of the story. If he cut all of them I guess it would have saved me £24 and about 2 weeks of my life.
Any additional comments?
I'm really angry at Audible. We pay for a [relatively simple] service. Being able to stream overpriced audiobooks is Audible's entire business model, you'd think they could get it right.
