Shadow Work – uncover your authentic self

What a great book for helping you to uncover your authentic self. If you have heard of shadow work and have been interested in finding out more about yourself, then this is the book for you. The author will help you uncover your true self. She will explain shadow work and the history behind it and bring it up to current-day thinking. As the author explains, through journaling, and mindfulness exercises, she will help you discover what your shadow consciousness is, along with what your triggers are. Your shadow consciousness includes personal traits that you have suppressed during adolescence due to trauma or because these feelings were unacceptable, yet they still exist, waiting to emerge. As the author states, through self-care, and spiritual enlightenment, you can be complete once you have embraced your shadow self. By journaling, mindfulness, meditation, positive affirmations, and doing the exercises the author provides, you will learn the path to enlightenment to fulfill your authentic self and give yourself permission to grow. It is impossible to know where this will lead you, but be brave and embrace both the light and dark parts of yourself. By understanding your true self and embracing it, you will show up as your most authentic self. This will allow you to be truly happy going forward in life.
