Summary
When the skeletal remains of three young women are discovered on the vacation estate of a US senator, Special Agent Gabe Sullivan and local forensic sketch artist Mackayla Kensington team up to solve the murders.
A profiler for 14 years, Gabe knows his skills are useless until they discover the identity of the victims. As the two begin to work the case together, Gabe finds himself fascinated by Mackayla's strength and her ability to bring life to her sketches. Her free spirit and the way she finds joy in the simple things has him taking stock of his life.

Fantastic romantic suspense!
Anne Patrick's stories never cease to amaze me. Each one takes a path that is not only intriguing but is relevant to today's society. This one lets us meet Mackayla, a forensic artist who creates the faces of people from their skulls. She teams up with Gabe, a profiler on a mission to find a killer of young girls. It's incredibly interesting, the story suspenseful and the slow burn of the romance is enticing. Mackayla is a strong, independent woman, dealing with her own grief in a way to help others. Gabe is dealing with his own past but together these two make an unbreakable team. If you enjoy romantic suspense, Anne Patrick is an author you do not want to miss.
Leonor A Woodworth narrates this story. Each character a distinct voice, she hones in on their personality and finds the nuances to make their feelings evident. She brings out every feeling, builds the suspense and creates a movie in my mind as I listen. I love her work, and enjoyed this performance.
