About this listen
Two women haunted by old wounds find unexpected strength in each other in this heartwarming lesbian romance novel.
Emotional wounds aren't always apparent, and those that haunt Marika and Rhiannon are deep and lasting.
On the surface, Marika appears to be a wealthy, successful lawyer, while Rhiannon is a reclusive, maladjusted loner. But Marika, in her own way, is as damaged as the younger Rhiannon. When circumstances throw them together one summer, they begin to reach out, each finding unexpected strengths in the other.
However, even as inner demons are gradually vanquished and old hurts begin to heal, evil in human form reappears. The cruelly enigmatic Cass has used and controlled Marika in the past, and she aims to do so again.
Can Marika find it within herself to break free? Can she save her young friend from Cass' malevolent web? With the support of remarkable friends, the pair fights to break free - of their crippling pasts and the woman who will own them or kill them.
Contains mature themes.

Wonderful story
Broken Faith was the first book for me, by this author. I was drawn in by the well- rounded characters, and found I cared deeply for the likeable ones, and was at times fearful to listen as the tension built up. As a freebie, it is an amazing introduction to a very talented writer, and one I will look out for in the future. I love the voice of the narrator too. As a story, it would make a brilliant movie in the right hands. I recommend the book wholeheartedly.

Brilliant.
I really love this author! And thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook. Great story, amazing characters, sexy, thrilling, pulls at the old heart strings, all the things. Wonderfully narrated by one of my absolute favourite narrators. Just fabulous.

Great plot, not cheesy!
this had a great plot and exciting storyline. Refreshing to read lesbian fiction without all the cheesy sleazy element I so.often find hence I don't read this genre very often. The only let down was the cringe I felt foe the over use of the word sweetheart and 'my love ' which was like nails on a chalkboard overtime and broke the spell you were under whilst listening to thr book. It suddenly makes the story feel cheesy and the way its narrated feels sleazy and tho I thought it was just my preference I had it playing during an intimate moment with someone who burst out laughing suddenly and started hollowing 'my looooove' so I realises it wasn't just me. Not only did thr phrase not fit with the characters or the moment, it is a phrase used for an adult to a child or a carer to a patient ect. Thr only time it did fit was during wedding verses but by then it had been used so much and in wrong places it simply added more shudders. Not sure if it was the way the narrator said it so unnaturally but the word 'hun' even sounded gross too like so disingenuous and wierd. I still enjoyed the book but this overuse of oddity ruined it a little. I would recommend and still gave the stars it deserved. it would have been 5 stars if it weren't for these annoyances.

Great story and narration.
Anastasia Watley lends her buttery tones to this wonderful book and does it great justice. The story is full of wonderful and complex characters. The layered story is encompasses a criminal enterprise but it’s really not about crime and more about people, people who’s life experiences have taken them on a path they thought defined them but come to realise they can have more. I loved this book, it’s a great listen.

Good book, great reader.
I enjoyed this book. Its generously long, which is great when you like the people involved.
The characters are complex and the thriller element works. I enjoyed the Calgary setting, having visited there a few times... It's a great part of the world!
Mostly the joy of this was in character growth and basically skilled writing.
I am also a fan of Anastasia Watley, and while this is not the tour de force that her performance of The X Ingredient is, this is still a very good listen.

Great storytelling
Wonderful characters in a great story, beautifully written, narrator has a wonderful voice and brings the story to life. Couldn’t get enough of it and has to listen to it again so I don’t have to leave them already.
