Pawsitive Book for any Dog Owner
Loved applicable stories about Ollie. Never occured to me before this book that Buster is indeed a very reactive dog. Fading and variable rewards will be instituted at my house now that I know the technique. Tracking journal is a very good reference tool. Clicker training was noteworthy for my tool box. Categorizing triggers organizes observations into a useable format for training. Support groups sound very beneficial with the burn out that occurs when you work in isolation. Truly a commitment of love is a great summary of the adventure with training a reactive dog.

Explains canine reactivity
I think that one of the standout aspects of this audiobook is its detailed explanation of canine reactivity. It goes beyond just identifying problematic behaviors and delves into understanding the root causes and body language cues. This insight alone was incredibly enlightening and has already helped me better interpret my dog's actions and reactions.

Excellent guide for reactive dogs
I have a reactive dog. I got him when he was 4 months old, and by the time he was 8 months old, he started acting out. He's a big dog, so it is really important to me that he behaves and, more importantly, doesn't cause harm to another dog or person. There's a lot of good information in this audiobook. I think every dog owner should take the time to get to know their dog, as they have different personalities just like humans. I've already been implementing some of the strategies mentioned in this book with positive results. My dog is very food motivated but also likes praise. Some things trigger him on certain days, and other days he's fine. All this is explained in the audiobook. You have to get to know your dog. You're not only training your dog but also training yourself to be a good dog owner. Highly recommended for the advice, insights, and effective strategies!
