About this listen

Romans! Madrigals! The Dark Ages! Evolutions! Trumpets! The Oranges of The First World War!

All of this (except trumpets) and more is covered in this definitive, illustrated, easy-clean history of all world history so far, written by the twenty-first century's leading historian, philosopher and thought-thinker, Philomena Cunk.

Focusing on the inventions, art and brainboxes that made the modern world the unbearable place it is today, The World According to Cunk is the history book to end all history books. From the birth of the first baby caveman to the invention of the poo emoji. Some say history is written by the Victors. But they're wrong - it's written by the Philomenas. Well, a Philomena. The one on the cover. Yes, her, from TikTok

Genius!

I've always dipped in and out of Philomena Cunk on t.v. Enjoying what I saw but never putting myself out to watch.. then along came this book. Perfect to listen to as I work. It had me chuckling from the start and now its ended.. I WILL make that effort. There are some gems in this book which explains history in a way my 21 year old autistic son would, saying what it sees and creating pearls of comedy gems..LOVED IT!

Hilarious and entertaining!

I loved this take on world history, it was hilarious! Philomena Cunk is a brilliant narrator, and I just wish her other mockumentaries could be made available. Witty, entertaining, and I loved hearing about her friend Paul.

rambling

This felt like a book comprised of one long rambling sentence and so was a challenge to remain engaged. It's a shame as I thoroughly enjoyed Cunk On Everything!
