Summary
It started with one night out with the boys. She was the hot diner waitress putting herself through school. I was the rich, arrogant player everyone misjudges. On paper, we didn’t match. Yet all it took was one day. One single day to change her mind.
She wasn’t planning to spend her day off with me. She wasn’t supposed to fall for my charm. But one day, one smile, turned into several nights of her calling out my name.
I’m not the guy she should end up with. I’m jealous, possessive. Not here for a long time - just a good time. She’s changed me. But, for some reason, I feel her slipping through my fingers, and no matter what I do, I fear I’m going to strike out with the one and only girl I’ve ever fallen for.

I loved this story so much!
I absolutely loved this story, it's a sweet slow burn, hate to love romance. The story of Harmony and Holt, it's full of emotions, you will cry, laugh, and be torn for this couple. I'm more used to Meghan Quinn's full-on romcoms, however, I think I love the emotional side of this book and would love to read more in the future like this one, with special twists that have me invested in the story. The audiobook narrated by Connor Crais and Mackenzie Cartwright was simply fantastic, I enjoyed every minute of it as I usually do with all Meghan Quinn's audios.

Breathtaking Journey to Love!
This is the seventh book in The Brentwood Boys Series, a Sports Romance. Holt and Harmony's story is beautifully written, sweet, fun, emotional, and romantic. They are opposites attract. Holt is such a handsome character, caring, and supportive, but he is a little too controlling, overprotective, and possessive. Harmony is lovely, resilient, and independent, but she has insecurities, and she constantly overthinking all. Her push and pull attitude is exhausting. Their journey to love is breathtaking, filled with drama, and angst. The supporting characters are great. This is a great addition to The Brentwood Boys Series. I like the friendship in this story, and I loved to see again the characters from the previous books! Connor Crais and Mackenzie Cartwright did a fantastic job with the narration. They are perfect as Holt and Harmony, and I love their voices together. I enjoyed it.

God, baseball is hot🔥
I loved so many things in the Strike Out...the Hallmark Architect, the texts with the guys, how swoon worthy Holt is:)
Seriously, Holt & Harmony are so ridiculously hot together...I mean holy hot BJ Harmony🔥 my girl made Holt forget his name!!
“Sometimes the right person comes out of nowhere. When you’re not looking for love is sometimes when you actually find it.”—they fell hard & fast for each other. As the saying goes ‘when you know you know’ and they knew. Life had different plans for them but they did what they needed to do and their relationship was better for it.
“God, baseball is hot.”—-no truer words! #towelbrigade

The save of a great story
Meghan Quinn does it again. Book 7 in the series. The world-building was is very well done and the descriptions given make it easy to visualise everything. Both the characters are very different but they are also very well drawn which makes them totally believable. I really loved this new listen .
Hero is Holt. Heroine is Harmony.
This story is fantastic, you get to meet Knox , Jason and Colt in the story before they meet their other half’s . Well written and leaves you wanting more! Narration was very well done, the story line flows smoothly Both Holt and Harmony have trust issues, that they both don’t realize they need to get over
Mackenzie Cartwright and Connor Crais was fantastic. I couldn’t put it down. Both of the performance drew you in

Another cracker!
Connor Crais and Mackenzie Cartwright team up to bring Holt and Harmony to life in this fabulous aural performance of The Strike Out by Meghan Quinn.
As always the words penned by this author are, at times, laugh out loud funny with moments of sentimentality, frustration and even some downright idiocy.
All this mixed together gives us a beautiful story of boy meets girl and eventually, they live happily ever after.
All in all a great addition to the audio library of this amazing author.

Might be my favourite MQ book to date
I think Holt Green might be my favourite MQ hero yet. And he had mighty boots to fill. But the banter and the flirting between him and the sassy, closed off, independent Harmony Styles was OFF. THE. CHARTS. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face and I actually dragged this read out because I didn't want it to be over. I rarely do with rom-com's from one of the queens of the (sub)genre. This is definitely grumpy/sunshine but the girl is the grump this time and Holt...my darling Holt is the sweetest...well expect those times when he isn't, but I don't wanna talk about that..READ THIS. For fun times, for laughs, for brilliant writing and such great friend groups and a couple that I just want to have all the good things. I volunteered to read and review an early copy of this. All opinions are my own.

Holt and Harmony!
After a night out Holt and the boys decide to finish up their evening at the diner where he makes a less than favorable impression on their waitress. She believes that he is nothing but an entitled athlete who has never had to work for anything in his life but rather than it being a deterrent he is determined to prove her wrong.
Harmony is a woman who not only attends college but needs to work as well so having to serve a group of exuberant men who seem to think life is a party is not how she wanted to spend her evening. She never expected to see him again and she certainly never expected to develop feelings for him despite her determination not to.
Holt may be charming but it is the caring side of him that draws you in while Harmony has struggled for everything she has so she may be fiery but she is also cautious. Their interactions are humorous and hot but it is the emotional connection that they develop that makes their relationship so special. The narrators brought out all the chemistry and humor of the story and the characters.
