About this listen
Vincent’s past threatens to overthrow his future. The solution? He’s about to find it in the storage closet at his friend’s wedding.
All single dad Vincent is expecting from his friend’s wedding is a good time...not an irresistible older omega named Mal who slips into his heart as quickly as he slips into his bed. With a job relocation to the city on the horizon, a relationship isn’t off the table, but there’s a catch.
There’s something about Vincent’s past his prospective lover needs to know - something he’d rather leave behind.
All chronically single Mal wants is to have a family. The solution? Take matters into his own hands....
At fifty years old, Mal has come to accept he'll never find a partner, but won't back down from starting a family of his own. Desperate to get pregnant, he enrolls in a clinical trial for a fertility drug with promising results....
....only to find himself under the care of an all too familiar face, Dr. Vincent Rhyne.
The Solution is a 90,000 word contemporary omegaverse MPREG novel featuring a quirky group of single dads, fabulous revenge, an ice-cold shower that'll have you overheating, and a unique take on love perfect for two men who don’t quite fit the mold.

The Solution
The Solution is the third in The Single Dad Support Group written by Piper Scott and to be enjoyed fully I would recommend you listen to them in order.
We’ve already met Vincent and Mal from previous books, Vincent is a member of the Single Dads support group and Mal is an older omega who has always wanted a baby but time is running out.
This is a story full of heartbreak, healing, acceptance and love.
My favourite so far.

X-Verity time!!
They Single Dads Group is finally meeting in person for Gage’s wedding. xVerity meets Mal in a closet in a very awkward situation, which turned into sexy situation. Now Vincent is a sexy alpha who likes older men. Mal is perfect for him. Mal has had a very tough life and now is in a good place where he wants to have a baby and maybe a family. Vincent is moving to Aurora for a secret mission. What are the odds they find each other again. I just loved the theme, older mature and a younger succesful guy, both broken but willing to love. Nikki is just a sweetheart. The group reunion was short but fun. Michael F is turning in one of my favorite narrators. Love it all 💜

All the Feels, and Ferraiuolo is Spectacular!
Piper Scott blows my mind again, and Michael Ferraiuolo's incredible performances propels this one over into fan-freaking-tastic x 1000. The third book in their Single Dad Support Group series, Scott delivers all the feels in The Solution.
Starting off with a bang, a hot and sexy meet-cute gets these two together, and the rest of their story is sweet and romantic and a seriously wonderful time. There’s a bit of angst, the snarky fun with the dads from the support group, and Vincent’s charming and adorable little daughter.
I adore Michael Ferraiuolo, and he delivers his absolute best in The Solution. The variety of voices he comes up with for this cast is incredible, and what he does with Vincent’s daughter Nicky is the highlight of the story for me.
A fun and creative series, the Single Dad Support Group novels are all great, and you can read them independently, but for me, The Solution is the best.

Single dads find happiness
Vincent is a member of the Single Dads Support group. Invited to the wedding of one of the other members he meets Mal, an omega who’s older. And boy do they hit it off.
Both men haven’t had the easiest of lives and it really is about time that they could live a happier life. This is a fantastic story of the men learning to trust the other and discovering that their happiness lies with the other.
Narrator Michael Ferraiuolo narrates all the characters wonderfully. The best thing for me about listening to an audiobook after having read the book is that a good narrator brings the characters to life and makes me feel like I’m experiencing it for the first time all over again.
A wonderfully written and narrated story - definitely a must listen if you enjoy this kind of book.

Coolest single dads ever
I have been following this group of single dads and loving every minute of it. The messages between the five of them are hilarious and it’s been fun to watch each fall in love. This book begins with the wedding of single dad Laurence to the love of his life Alex, but the actual start of the book is with more of a bang.
Mal is an omega desperate to start a family of his own. At fifty his chances of conceiving are small but he’s going through IVF treatments with the hopes of a pregnancy. It’s complicated, but having so many treatments back to back means his heats are stronger and harder to control. Hence he’s in a broom closet with a vibrator at the wedding. Vincent is looking for the bathroom. What he discovers is an omega in need of help. Being a helpful guy, Vincent steps up and helps Mal. I mean, what’s an alpha to do when he sees an omega in need of a literal hand.
Vincent joins the single dads for a glitter bomb and despairs of ever seeing Mal again when Mal propositions him. Uh, okay. Never one to turn down an opportunity to connect with someone, Vincent takes Mal up on the offer. Little do they know that even after Mal has left the hotel room and taken his pumpkin home (ala Cinderella) that their paths will cross again and the stakes will be so much higher.
Ex-Veriti (Vincent) hasn’t told the single dads what he does for a living, so asking their advice is difficult. His move to Aurora is for work, but the possibility of building something with Mal holds appeal. His priority has to be his precocious five-year-old daughter Nicki. Vincent is also holding a secret close to his chest, not knowing how Mal will react. I have to admit his secret was a huge surprise for me. I don’t read many omega/alpha books and I’m always learning something new as each author creates their own worlds. I’m very much enjoying Ms. Scott’s world. There are several more books in the series and I’m looking forward to them as well. For each father’s happy ending, of course, but also because I’ll get to see Mal and Vincent again as they build a joyous life for themselves as a solid couple.
Michael Ferraiuolo is the perfect narrator for this series. He just hits every note and has distinct voices for each character. His delivery of the messages is always spot-on, making the book even funnier. So onward we go. I can’t wait for the next one.

best of books 1-3!
Independent reviewer for Gay Romance Reviews, I was gifted the audio file of this book.
This is book 3 in the Single Dads Support group series, and it's not necessary to read/listen to books one and two first. Mal is Gage's babysitter and Vincent is in the group, so they both pop up in both previous books, but their story can be read as a stand alone.
And I think, for me, this is my favourite of these three! I LOVED The Problem, book one but The Proposal, book two, didn't quite work for me. This one?? This is equal to, or possibly, surpasses The Problem!
Mal is 50, and is trying IVF for a baby. His last chance, actually. When he is accepted in a drug trial to do just what Mal wants it to, he knows this is possibly his only chance to ever have his own baby. Meeting Vincent at Alex and Laurance's wedding was amazing, and Mal would have loved to developed a relationship with the younger alpha, however Vincent lives too far away. When Mal meets his doctor for the drug trial, coming face to face with Vincent was not what he was expecting. Can they make this work, even with their history? Can both men give up their secrets?
I'm listening my way through these books, and I usually keep my review for the book seperate from my review for the audio but I'm finding as I thoroughly enjoy a book that I cannot do that, and since I freaking LOVED this book, I can't here.
Michael Ferraiuolo narrates. His voices for all the characters are consistent across the three books I've listened to, and each and every time he NAILS the narration for the emotions these guys are going through.
I mean, Mal is in heat, and is hiding in a cleaning cupboard when Vincent discovers him and gives him a help to get the edge of while waiting for his blockers to kick in. Mal is desperate and Ferraiuolo gets all of that across, and more in that cupboard and later, when they move to somewhere a little more comfy.
He gets across all of Mal's need to be a daddy, not just a baby sitter. He gets all of Vincent fear of telling Mal about his past, of why he is a father to Nikki, but infertile. He gets over all each man's reaction when the other says to them "So...?"
There was a lot of things that I did not see coming! Not saying what, cos spoilers, but they blew me away! And some I thought were coming but don't, so I'm pleased in a way that these things did NOT happen. They could have been bad for everyone involved.
It's dark when Mal tells Vincent about his past, made me cry. Come to think of it, I cry a lot with these books!
Because I am listening to these and not reading them, I'm not seeing the screen names written down, so I am unable to piece together clues from the names I hear with the blurbs for the next 3 books. I mean, I thought Vincent was xveridy not xVerity! I don't care who is next, just that I am able to get my grubby little mitts on it!
I loved this, and its gonna be hard for Scott and Ferraiuolo to top it!

Love, healing and acceptance! Such a beautiful story!!
I’m loving these characters and therefore the whole series and didn’t expect the “twist” of Vincent’s past but it added new depth and elevated this book and gave it more to love! I loved Vincent’s journey and his truth and loved that he was matched with Mal. I’m so glad Mal got to for-fill his dream of becoming a dad and found love and acceptance along the way. I love the family these two created and Nikki is just adorable. another beautiful story. I love this series and family Piper has created and Michael has brought to life! ❤️❤️❤️

Vincent and Mal
Absolutely loved this story of acceptance and the healing power of love.
Vincent and Mal meet under unique circumstances.
Both carry heavy baggage from their pasts and are equally terrified of being able to survive if the situation implodes, which of course it does and they must decide if this love is worth fighting for.
Michael Ferrieulio of course has done an exceptional job of bringing this emotionally fraught story to life.

Creating a family
This is a lovely story about creating a family. Two men who have been knocked around by life but are incredibly nurturing and longing for love and a forever, family find their dreams come true. This is a warm, hopeful story that will leave you feeling good in dark times. I have to be honest, I'd listen to Michael Ferraiuolo read the phone book, but his voice was made for this book. Soft and calming, hot and sexy, romantic, and deeply loving, he gets all the characters and emotions just right.
