About this listen

The Silurian Period, approximately 420 million years ago. A time even before the dinosaurs. Evolution was just beginning to flex its muscles, and on land and in the sea, new creatures were evolving. In this strange world arrive a team of time travelling North Korean agents with one goal – change the past and alter the future. And if they are successful, the United States may never exist.

Following them back in time are Alex Hunter and his team of elite HAWCs. And for Alex Hunter, this mission is personal.

In this strange primordial world, the HAWCs find lifeforms that defy description and test the bounds of reality, or sanity. Things that evolution created and then cancelled. Or perhaps something entirely out of this world, that time wisely kept hidden from us. Until now.

Alex Hunter, The Arcadian, is in a race to save his team, his country and the people he loves the most, his family, and literally bring them back from the dead. And pity anyone or anything that gets in his way.

Another great listen!

Another great listen by Greig Beck. The story flowed well and the inclusion of mythical gods and the legend of Samson was well constructed.
Greig’s books are always a great mix between science fiction, mythology and great action.
Can’t wait for the next instalment.

Another great story

Was a bit unsure due to the whole time travel thing but I wasn't let down! Story was good and the Arcadian never fails to impress.

Return to form for the series!

Fantastic book! This book is a great comeback for the series, after the previous installment. It is the best book of the series, paving the way for the next book.

Brilliantly crafted story

If you are a fan of the Alex Hunter series then you will love this latest episode. Fast paced and full of action from start to finish. No spoilers but the opening chapters really hooked me! Greig has created characters and a world that are incredibly powerful and finely crafted. If you are not familiar with this series or author then I strongly recommend you invest a credit or two but I warn you, like me you might get hooked.

Bit of a paradox

Probably one of the few stories were all the 'good guys' made it out mostly' one piece, sort of expecting the 'Robo Amy' to be the surprise villain but guess it will reappear sometime down the line as will the new Big Bad. Problem with time travel stories it can be a 'chicken and egg' situation,

Unfortunately the weakness so far

Unfortunately this has to be the weakness Alex Hunter book so far.
hard to explain why without giving away massive parts of the story but the time travel side of things didn't work out at all, I get the reasons why you can't time travel anytime, anywhere you want but Sam's story is so easy to fix and wouldn't damage the time line where in Alex's reasons for time travel would change everything, and don't get me started on the big reveal of who did "IT" cause that would break Alex in the long run and cause the other to take over and you would lose all control plus losing a very powerful up and coming warrior.
Plus to make Torr level of ESP of the charts to be able to see what is happening millions of years ago but not know what is going on right next to him is a joke.
But hey I am still looking forward to the next book
