Summary

Rose Well Holiday Park needs a hero. This once shining icon of the Great British Holiday Camp is dying, and the last residents are more interested in preparing for a zombie apocalypse or fighting off imaginary UFOs than playing crazy golf or bingo. In addition, a foreign bottled water company is attempting to force a sale so they can seize the last asset of Rose Well Park, the Rose Well Spring. What Rose Well Park could probably do without is a hero whose belief in a better tomorrow far outweighs any of his past achievements. But William Fox is all they have. Armed with nothing more than an undying sense of optimism and a box of books about alien conspiracies, he slowly draws up his plans to make Rose Well Park famous.

A fun listen

A fun story that goes around and meets up with all the threads tying them in nicely. My only criticism is that all the female characters get read in a horrid sneering voice by Nigel. Whilst I get its a chap reading them, he does have a lovely soft voice so not sure why he reads the ladies as if they are snarky old women all the time. it doesn't match the characters.

Loved it

Nonsense and fun, entwined with fabulous characters and a nice story.

I tend to listen in the car or whilst going to sleep. This was a gentle, fun book that has made me smile.

Thankyou. 🙏🙏🤣🤣

Amusing!

Nigel Planer does a good job narrating this quirky, fun alien abduction silliness story. Enjoyed!

A feel good listen

Another great story from David Luddington. I get a comforting feeling of coming home reading his books as I always have with Douglas Adams. Grounded in the ordinary but embracing the extraordinary with engaging characters and lots of gentle British humour. The excellent narration really does it justice.
