About this listen

The thrilling conclusion to the Last Hours series from the #1 New York Times bestselling author Cassandra Clare

Cordelia Carstairs has lost everything that matters to her. In only a few weeks, her father has been murdered, her plans to become parabatai with best friend Lucie have been destroyed, and her marriage has crumbled. Even worse, she is now bound to an ancient demon, Lilith, stripping her of her power as a Shadowhunter.

Cordelia flees to Paris, hoping to forget her sorrows. But reality soon intrudes: Tatiana Blackthorn has escaped the Adamant Citadel, and London is under new threat by the Prince of Hell, Belial. Returning home, Cordelia discovers that Belial's plan is about to crash into the Shadowhunters like a deadly wave, one that will separate her, Lucie, and the Merry Thieves from help of any kind.

If Cordelia and her friends are going to save their city, they will have to muster their courage, swallow their pride, and trust one another again. For if they fail, they may lose everything—even their souls.

A lovely last book

Thoroughly enjoyed it, as I did the whole trilogy! Narrator is excellent but missed a trick not giving Cecily a Welsh accent as she did Will.

What an ending

A beautiful and dramatic end to the series. Well worth the wait. The narrator was fantastic. I love how all the Shadowhunter books tie in together in one way or another. Cassandra leaves no stone unturned with the details. Her world building is brilliant.

A fabulous end to the trilogy

I loved the book, a great ending to the trilogy. Yes, something may have been deemed unnecessary. I’m not giving anything away here. I love all the lovely side stories. Seeing them plan out. And yes, I did get ever so slightly tired of the main characters endless turmoil in their love story.

I hope somewhere Cassandra clare can fill in the family members in the huge, complicated tree!

A satisfying ending to the series

Enjoyed listening to this book although there were times where the story seemed slow. Most of the action happens in the second half of the book.

Lovely end to the trilogy

A wonderful performance by Finty as usual and a superb end to this trilogy with lots of surprises.

I just wish the UK audiobook had been released in January along with the actual book.

What an amazing ending

Cassandra has done it again. This book was sensational. I couldn't put it down. The characters were amazing, and the storyline was memorable. I've loved the Last Hours Trilogy, and I don't doubt I will revisit it again.

Finty Williams' narration is womderful.

A good narrator makes or breaks an audio book. Finty Williams is brilliant at managing the cast of thousands you expect in the Shadohunters world. Her expressiveness, diction and pace bring the books to life. We'll done!
