About this listen

Sometimes a wolf has to stand alone to find out what he's made of.

Melody is an ambitious entrepreneur who has always loved the thrill of a new adventure, but she's about to get more than she bargained for when the only way to save her business is to secure a deal with a powerful tribal leader. Running Horse, Oklahoma, isn't on the map, and Mel is about as lost as a Shifter can get. When she unexpectedly runs into her best friend's brother, her friendly visit quickly turns treacherous.

Lakota Cross is a man with secrets. While tracking a killer, he reunites with Melody, and their friendship sparks into a passionate affair. But if he doesn't quell the fire soon, it might burn out of control.

Once again, fate brings these two Shifters together in a moment of need. But will the sacrifice be greater than the reward?

Murder, mayhem, and a mating ceremony.

Lakota & Melody At Last!🙏💘🐢🐺

The Vow: Black Arrowhead Series, Book 1
Audiobook 🎧
By: Dannika Dark
Narrated by: Nicole Poole
Length: 8 hrs and 57 mins

I actually enjoyed this book even more in audio format than my first time read in e-book.😍🎧

Melody & Hope, now both 25, have both left their packs & are living in an apartment together & getting ready to open a boutique to sell their bespoke clothing & jewellery lines. Hope's supplier tries to charge them double thinking he's the best they can get!😡 They both head off to find a new supplier.

Melody is in Oklahoma to track down a Tribe that have the best reputation in gem dealership, it would be a real coup for Hope & her jewellery.🙏 She runs into Lakota Cross, now 30, Hope's half brother & Mel's saviour from a storm when she was younger.😍 Hes undercover on a Bounty Hunting gig for the Higher Authority. There's a serial killer out killing shifter women.😲

They have to pretend not to know one another for his sake. Mel's negotiations don't go too well either, it seems there's a lot of prejudice in this area!😔 She becomes unwell & has to stay overnight at a motel. Lakota tells her some unexpected truths & they start to bond again. Unfortunately things go awry on her return to the tribal lands & she's trapped there!😳

This is at times sweet, light hearted & romantic but also full of stress, fear & true danger. Each is conveyed brilliantly by Nicole Poole.🌟 The tension builds steadily throughout & ends with such an emotional punch it took my breath away!💔😭 This book left me with a few questions: Where will they settle, what pack, who will their Alpha be etc? I can't wait for more from this series, I truly can't!🌟

good solid read

really good follow on from her previous series, but you don't need to have read the seven series to enjoy this and it could be stand alone, however if you have read the seven series it would make this much better, looking forward to the rest of this series, love this author and her world and character building

Great book

This is a follow-on book from the Western Pack's kids.
You are able to read or listen to it without having to read the Western series; it just makes you understand a bit more when Lakota is talking about his past.
I loved the Western Pack series and am looking forward to reading this series, as once again the author grips you from the first chapter.
I love Nicole Poole's narration as well.

Woohoo!!! They’re back!!!!

Can’t believe how much I have missed these guys!! Dannika can’t half write. Her tales are simply brilliant with plots twists galore, incredible characters, great family dynamics and banter, wonderful descriptive details that almost allow you to smell the wet fur of the wolves she writes about! I loved her first series and truly didn’t realise how much I had missed them. Am going to go back and listen to them again while I wait, very impatiently, for the next instalment. I so hope that Tac makes an appearance somewhere. Read or listen to the first series in order to really get the best from Dannika’s world. It is beautiful, convoluted, loving, funny, thrilling, twisted, complicated, sexy, touching, poignant and absolutely like no other I have read about. 5 stars are totally underwhelming as a reflection of how much I enjoy her work.

Danika Dark delivers again

Epic start to the series. A perfect blend of old and new. I absolutely loved it and couldn't stop listening. Poole is just as fabulous as always for the narration. Can't wait for the next installment and long may the series continue.

The Vow

A story that loosely follows her other series, as they both have connection to both Silver and Seven, but the next generation. It has all the tension and suspense you would expect plus strong female characters. With the lovely voice of Nicole Poole to lead you through. 👍👍👍👌

The next generation of love

Dannika Dark returns to our wonderful world of the breed and we have moved on to the next generation. The story immediately immerses us into the lives Hope and Mel as they start their adventure into business. The journey has lots of unexpected paths, humour, fabulous characters, nostalgic throwbacks and of course, some super steamy scenes. A must read for all.

Enjoyable book

It was great getting back into this world as it links to previous series I’ve enjoyed by Dannika Dark, though it can be read as a stand alone. I would have liked a bit more at the end, like maybe an epilogue, but I imagine these characters will be revisited in future books (even though other characters will be the main focus) so I’m sure I’ll get more then. I was engaged throughout and bought into their relationship. I’m looking forward to more books in the series!
