Another good adventure for Enola

A lively, entertaining story, wonderful characters and a great plot, very well read by Katherine Kellgren. My only wish is that the author did some basic research into how British titles work: Cecilia Alastair, being the daughter of a baronet, would be simple Miss Alastair. To be ‘The Honourable Cecilia’ she would have to be the daughter of a Viscount or a Baron, or ‘Lady Cecilia’, she would have to be the daughter of a Duke, Marquis or Earl. And no, I am not someone who obsesses about titles, it is just that I worked for Burke’s Peerage many years ago so learned it all. A woman, however well born, is not a lady unless her father has one of the titles above, in which case she uses it with her Christian name and keeps it for her lifetime, or marries into one of the titles below Duke, and would therefore be ‘Lady’, followed by her husband’s title.

enjoyable frippery but...

the narrator cannot pronounce English words properly or do believable accents. The author should know, unlike America, there were very few Irish policemen due to political unrest. Too many Americanisms, anachronisms and shoddy historical research.
