Summary
The Furyck Saga continues with this thrilling second volume in A.E. Rayne’s epic fantasy adventure!
As the kingdoms prepare for war, unexpected visitors and a horrifying murder throw everyone’s plans into disarray. Amidst the chaos, Jael must find a way to lead her warriors to victory against King Haaron and his sons, watching as Eadmund drifts away from her, powerless to save him.
In Hest, Jaeger Dragos has found the long-sought-after Book of Darkness, but he needs his father’s dreamer to unleash the dark magic trapped within.
Left behind on Oss, Edela is locked in a deadly struggle with Evaine, trying to keep Jael and Eadmund safe, taunted with terrifying visions of the darkness that is coming to claim them all....

Fab book, good characters,
Hooked from the beginning, once again, I can't wait to listen to chapter 3, and discover the cliffhanger ending

Marital Rape!
Can we please open a discussion about the constant marital rape and non consensual sex that goes on in this whole series?
Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed the story, the characters and the narration.
But there was an over welling amount of rape! Trying to think of a character who is female and wasn’t raped off the top of my head and I can’t think of one!
I appreciate that marriage can be a way of forming political alliances, and improving social standing, that marriages where and often are, not about love or romance. But OMG this was very uncomfortable to read in places and I wonder if it was the authors intention or if I am just being over sensitive!
