Summary
Penguin presents the audiobook edition of She Lies in Wait by Gytha Lodge, read by John Hopkins, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Joe Coen and Gytha Lodge.
Six friends. One killer. Whom do you trust?
On a hot July night in 1983, six school friends go camping in the forest. Bright and brilliant, they are destined for great things, and young Aurora Jackson is dazzled to be allowed to tag along.
Thirty years later, a body is discovered. DCI Sheens is called to the scene, but he already knows what's waiting for him: Aurora Jackson, found at long last.
But that's not all. The friends have all maintained their innocence, but the body is found in a hideaway only the six of them knew about.
It seems the killer has always lurked very close to home....

Incredible series
Fantastic book and excellent narration. I finished the first 5 books in the series within a week. I’m now feeling bereft and so looking forward to the next book.

mundane
This fell into my category of okayish. I stuck with it for many reasons. It was well narrated and not obvious who did it until way past the middle. The story was just mundane. A group of kids, off their heads having sex. yawn boring! A body found years later....I don't have to say more. I've given it two stars because I like to finish a book and feel a loss. This time I had no qualms about finishing it, no loss at all. I wouldn't exactly put anyone off as I'm probably nit picking but for me it was a damp squib.

Worth a listen
It is worth a listen and quite a good story. Felt towards the end the story was left with a few loose ends.

Excellent
I can’t wait for the next book. The story gripped me and it was difficult to work out who the killer was.

Perfect
A fabulous solid thriller which had me glued. The narration was great. The did find that the gap between sections in each chapter was rushed. Changes between characters were too quick and I often got confused when the story changed between one character and the next. Apart from that it was brilliant and I would recommend.

An exelant who done it
So glad I came across this book series its very much a page turner or in audio its hard to stop listening and it keeps you guessing so many times in my mind I have said she did it or he did it or they did it then have to change my mind.
Could the DCi even have something to do with it? Its a different format to what I used too hearing from the victim from the time of the murder and with a different narrator.
The narration is OK and that why I only gave 3 stars the man narrator is good at reading a book but its hard to tell who is talking and accents are not great, but it doesn't take anything away from the book. I have nearly finished book two and again that is a page turner also.

A good read/listen.
I very much enjoyed this book. The narrators brought it to life splendidly. I read while listening which was a lovely experience. It was very well written and I look forward to more by Gytha Lodge. 5* all round

Full of suspense
I won't go into the summary as to not give away anything but I am sad not to be spending time with Jonah and Julliet and will miss them. This story is not always fast paced but never failed to hold my interest. Wonderful characters and well wrtitten. The ending had me holding my breath, was full of suspense and not rushed like some books. I thoroughly enjoyed this and hope there is more in this series.
