Summary

Once upon a time, a dark evil crept into my kingdom, stealing my loved ones and the happy life I knew. The world turned against me, and I swore to become stronger, to keep myself safe.

Once upon a time, there was a handsome prince, hair dark as ebony, skin as pure as the freshly driven snow, and I became the only one who stood between him and death.

Once upon a time, our stories intertwined, and now, healing my heart may be the only way to save us all from the evil that threatens to destroy what little we have left.

Shadows on Snow

This book is a fresh take on familiar stories, and such it manages to be exciting while still retaining the comfortable feeling of a fairy tale. I loved the individuality of the characters of the seven sisters, as well as the swapped gender roles. While being mostly lighthearted, this book does not avoid darker topics, which prevented the story from becoming sickly sweet. Overall, a fun, engaging read which I thoroughly recommend.

This book was given to me free of charge in exchange for a review.

A completely new perspective to loved tales

Just wow this book offers a completely new perspective on all the tales you grew up with. Whilst the concept feels fresh it also feels familiar in the way it is read and gives you the cosy feeling you had when you first heard these tales growing up. I find it amazing that this book is ideal for children but also for adults as it encompasses the knowledge from your childhood . in my opinion it has certainly hit a niche that it appeals to all age groups. Beautifully written and definitely one that will stay in my mind for time to come . I was given this book by the author / narrator in return for an honest unbiased review

The reason An Author SHOULD Narrate

A superb portrayal of a unique fantasy, done in a way that only the writer could achieve with this level of success. superb, I got the second book in series on the strength of the first.

I actually liked this book to begin with because it was different. In this story we have prince Leo instead of princess Snow white who has black hair and skin as white as snow. And it is a female (Rae) with her seven sisters who save the prince and not dwarfs. I actually liked this take on the book except for Rae. I did not believe in her character or the king who is meant to be the evil one. For me Maleficent is a better evil character then the king.
As for Rae, something happens to her in her past that makes her act the way she does in the future. However, she would act in one way with some people and an other with the prince (due to what happened to her in her past) which I found really hard to believe.
Also the incident I found hard to believe after I got to know her. All I can say is she did not fight back enough. Unfortunately this really put me off the book.
This is a personal view and others might not really care about what I mentioned and enjoy it.
