About this listen
Learn to set healthy boundaries without guilt and live the life you want with this simple guide
Learn the ins and outs of setting boundaries that will change the way you live your daily life forever. When you learn how to set—and stick with—boundaries the right way, your life will begin to declutter, simplify, and well...get easier. It’s true! Living life under the scrutiny of yourself is hard enough. Adding everyone else’s wants and needs is the last thing you need.
Let’s address the facts. You’ve spent far too long catering and bending to the desires of others. So much so that being assertive and standing up for yourself feels unnatural, difficult, or even impossible at times. There is a very real difference between being kind and considerate, and disregarding your own priorities for the sake of others—and you’re starting to realize it. You are your own person! Time to start acting like it.
In this comprehensive guide, you will:
- Understand and identify your own boundaries so that you can begin to transform your mindset
- Find out the five common misconceptions people have when setting boundaries and how to avoid these thoughts
- How to properly say “no” without feeling guilty or hurting others (most people get this wrong!)
- Hear about and analyze real-world scenarios and phrases on how to establish boundaries in romantic relationships, families, the workplace, and friendships
- Learn verbal and nonverbal types of boundaries, and why both are so important
- Discover how to stop people pleasing and learn how to be assertive without being impolite
- Learn the root causes of weak boundaries and how you can address them at the source
- A step-by-step strategy to begin your journey toward a life you want and freedom
- And much, much more!
You have your own life and your own priorities. Be the change that needs to happen in your life and begin setting effective, firm boundaries. If you don’t, no one ever will.

Life-changing
This is an incredible book with really solid life advice.
Within the very first chapter I had already gained some major insights which are impacting my life right now. I am a self-diagnosed people pleaser, and was operating under misconceptions that Linda Hill addresses in this book. She unpacks in a very straightforward manor why people walk over people like us, and stepwise, what to do about it. She illustrates poor responses and better responses. It will be a journey working through all that she suggests, but it has already started making a major difference in my life.
Tiffany Rudd reads the contents very well, and with insight; she does a wonderful job, at a good pace, with just enough intonation that the message is carried across clearly.
