Dublin's The Gate Theatre production of Port Authority premiered at the New Ambassadors Theatre in London on February 22, 2001. The production was presented in association with The Ambassador Theatre Group and Old Vic Productions.

The play was first premiered on the stage in 2001, at the Gate Theatre in Dublin. Listeners will be surprised by how well the play works as an audiobook.
