❤️Wonderful Paul Temple - Love It

These are wonderful classics. So funny you will laugh out loud. This detective & his wife will keep you amused as they both detect which one did the murder. The way Paul speaks to his wife is hilarious. Good old British detective stories with excellent full cast & perfectly produced.❤️

Great story, terrible editing

Great story (despite the laughably outdated attitudes) and some great performances by the actors. Unfortunately the editing of the individual recorded segments is terrible: almost every fade out starts too early - while a character is still speaking - and the last couple of words are lost. Given the large number of separate recorded segments involved you are continually reminded of this ineptness, and it spoils the end result.

Ahh!!

That wonderful music, the “BBC”, Steve’s incredible Upper Middle accent, my nostalgic image of a family gathered round the wireless and, of course, Paul Temple’s manly, English tones. It’s all so old- fashioned and reassuring… . There’s never a cloud in the sky for Paul and Steve’s “darling” relationship which is so hugely, smilingly good-tempered!! Who cares that Steve, no fool, is patronised, or that the plots of these adventures are very similar: I’m addicted, as I know many of you will be!

Wonderful!

Tongue in cheek? Yes.... but so easy to listen to. BBC Radio have some wonderful old plays which have been resurected and this is one of them..
