I think I needed, or at least hoped, to get some answers to what was going on with Maddy! I felt throughout like maybe she'd actually be brimming suppressed power and that perhaps her staff might even have been deliberately hindering her? But we didn't get any of those answers, sadly and frustratingly.🤷🏻♀️ I also wondered if her suppressed power, if it is, of course, could be causing her blackouts.🤔
I can't help liking Kain. I think his 💀ery ways will be kind of justified. Have the Valkyrie been corrupted? Is that why Kain and Maddy are there to clean them up?
Argh, I have so many questions!😆 I think I'm going to absolutely LOVE book 2.👏
This had some stunning imagery, fascinating characters, and a frustratingly intriguing storyline.😍
The audiobook could have been a bit better. The male narrator was very good as growly Kain. I felt the female was quite flat across the board as Maddy and other characters, which was a bit disappointing. I also think it needs to commit to being completely a dual pov audio.🤞
I'm very excited for book #2.😁
