Summary

A brand new cozy crime series set in gorgeous Tuscany...It's murder in paradise!

A remote retreat…

Nestled high in the Tuscan hills lies Villa Volpone, home to renowned crime writer Jonah Moore and his creative writing course. It’s also the last place retired DCI Dan Armstrong expected to spend his retirement! Dan’s no writer, but maybe this break will help him to think about the next chapter in his own life story?

A gruesome murder…

But only days into the course, Jonah Moore is found stabbed to death with his award-winning silver dagger! And Dan finds himself pulled out of retirement with a killer to catch.

Eleven possible suspects.

The other guests all seem shocked by Jonah’s death, but Dan knows that one of them must be lying. And as he and Italian Inspector Virgilio Pisano begin to investigate it quickly becomes clear that everyone at Villa Volpone has secrets to hide…

But can Dan discover who the murderer is before they strike again?

A gripping new murder mystery series by bestselling author T.A. Williams, perfect for fans of Lee Strauss and Beth Byers.

Enjoyed my little break to Tuscany

I thoroughly enjoyed the book the narrator was great and I ended up listening to it in 2 days as I was captivated by the story and location, I wasn’t sure at first but loved it by chapter 3, made me laugh in parts and was a real page turner, the writer clearly did their homework on the location and the narrators pronunciation was perfect, I will definitely look for other books by this author in future thank you

Entertaining cosy mystery

I found this to be a very pleasant and engaging "cosy" mystery. The character is neatly dropped into the setting. The author is clearly familiar with the area the story's set in, and probably very fond of it. The narrator made a very decent companion for my commuting while listening to him read the story.

Lovely escape to Tuscany

Well read and written - complicated scenario and had an Agatha Christie feeling. I enjoyed listening to it and great distraction from a heavy cold.

It kept its secrets until the very end

A great book and so different from the ususl run of whodunits. I and my husband thoroughly enjoyed listening to it all in one day. Just one annoying thing and I don’t know if it was down to the author or the reader, but when something was brought out to someone the word bought was used. I hate that so many people’s English is so sloppy.

Good old fashioned murder mystery

Not my usual genre of book. But it was a lovely book. Narrator has a great voice and loved the simplicity of the story

Cost crime + Italian vibe

A very enjoyable story for an easy listen. As soon as I finished this one, I immediately started checking if there are more books in the series :)
