A cozy crime series set in gorgeous Tuscany...It's murder in paradise!

Murder in broad daylight…

When millionaire magnate, Rex Hunter is found with his head bashed in on the eighth hole of his prestigious golf and country club in beautiful Chianti, it’s a clear case of murder. Hunter was rich and successful and the envy of many, so retired DCI Dan Armstrong thinks the case will be a hole in one to solve….

A despised victim…

But as Dan and his trusty sidekick Oscar begin to dig deeper into Hunter’s lifestyle, they discover a man despised by many. A renowned womaniser, ruthless boss and heartless family man, it seems no one is particularly sorry to see Hunter dead. And the list of possible suspects is endless…

A murderer covering their tracks.

Dan is determined to catch this clever killer, but it seems every new lead brings another dead end. Will this be one case Dan and his canine companion won’t solve?

A gripping new murder mystery series by bestselling author T.A. Williams, perfect for fans of Death in Paradise, Lee Strauss and Beth Byers.

Thoroughly enjoyable listen

A fun story with a mixture if humour and mystery. I have enjoyed both books and look forward to the next in the series.

A good yarn

Enjoyable read, but somewhat over-written: not in terms of story length or its intrigue, but the author’s constant need to state the bleedin’ obvious (to paraphrase Monty Python!)
There are so many times this occurs, that it’s hard to go over them, but is there not an editor out there worth their salt?
Just one example is finding a dead body, and the narration goes something along the lines of “we wouldn’t be able to arrest him” (the implication therefore being that he is dead), but the author can’t resist adding that “he was dead”. He then describes him as toppling forward, so we kinda know he’s dead for a second time!Just needs trimming back, because this is a good tale slightly tarnished by delivery, it coming across more as a children’s book for adults.
Also, we’re in Italy in summer and it is hot out (as the author has explained). He leans against the heated steel of his car and wishes he hadn’t. And that’s fine - except he then explains it’s because the car has heated up in the sun!! Er..Yes. We sort of guessed that that was the inference, but why not spell it out for us?!
However - still an enjoyable listen.

Loved story and characters

The narrator did full justice to this enjoyable (lots of murders but a generally sunny feel) story.
Only irritating this is the calling women, girls. So 🙁

The narrator

I'm in love with Simon Mattacks voice, he really brings T A Williams' books to life. The story line is great as well....but Simon's narration is just the icing on the cake. Definitely an all round 5⭐️ from me.
