Summary

Heartbreaking and uplifting, Me and You is a story about how hard it is to leave our old selves behind, the tough choices we sometimes have to make and how love and friendship can heal the most damaged of hearts.

I’m fine. I’m sorry. Please take care of him for me. And maybe one day I’ll get to explain.

Angie knows a lot about her best friend Kitty.
She knows Kitty is mad and wild and loves to wear clashing colours. She knows she’s incredibly funny and generous but also very unreliable.
And she knows that there is a perfect explanation for Kitty standing her up on her birthday.
She thinks she knows everything about Kitty, except she doesn’t.

Kitty knows that she is the happiest she has ever been.
She knows she’s so lucky to have a lovely boyfriend, Simon and a best friend like Angie.
But what she doesn’t know that on this night, her past is finally going to catch up with her and change everything.

Too drawn out

I've read quite a few of Claudia Carroll's books and have always thoroughly enjoyed them.....this one not so much.
The general story line was really good but Oh my goodness it was sooooo drawn out. If 2 people were having a conversation, and one was about to tell the other something really interesting, the conversation went round and round the houses for so long that I was shouting out "just get on with it!!!!"
Although the author was also the narrator, she wasn't a very good narrator, she should stick to writing (but not to dragging the story on and on) The book which lasted 11.5hrs, could actually have been told in about 8hrs and would have been more enjoyable.
The MOST annoying thing about the book was the fact that every time the word VERY was used, the narrator just said 'V' or even 'VV' !!!!! It was 'V' annoying and 'V' irritating!!! I groaned every time she said it...... so I groaned 'V' much throughout the book.
