About this listen

The final volume in New York Times best-selling author Raymond E. Feist’s epic heroic fantasy series, The Firemane Saga.

War has swept across Marquensas. Ruthless raiders have massacred the inhabitants of Beran's Hill, including Gwen, the beloved wife of Declan Smith. Hollow of heart, his hopes burned to ashes, Declan swears to track down and destroy the raiders, an ambition shared by Baron Daylon Dumarch, whose family was massacred as they fled the capital.

Meanwhile Hava, whose gift for piracy has seen her acquire the treasure ship Borzon's Black Wake and the swift Azhante sailing vessel, Queen of Storms, and won her the name of 'the Sea Demon', is closing in on the whereabouts of those who unleashed the murderous hordes.

Her husband, Hatushaly, the last remaining member of the ruling family of Ithrace, the legendary Firemanes, seeks to control the magical powers he has inherited. He is able now to visualise and even travel among the filaments of energies that power all existence: the furies. But will he be able to channel his magic in time to combat the deepest, darkest threat the world of Garn has ever faced?

Brilliant!

Feist has definitely got another riftwar saga going here. This is turning out to be every bit as good as that.

Feist-y Series

Let’s get the narrator out the way first. Wonderfully executed and the British accents are quite excellent. Big fan of the story telling and delivery.

I am not going to spoil this book or the series but suffice it to say Raymond E Feist’s writing has been a part of my life for over 30 years so it’s safe to say I am rather invested. Magician’s End got me at the end as did Master of Furies… in public walking to work, no less.

If you love the Riftwar Saga then this is for you. Feist’s writing has evolved as has the storytelling, it has more grit… or sand from the desert river, forging the story into another epic. For fantasy fiction lovers old and new… this is for you.

A brilliant book, love this series

This series just keeps getting better and better. Thoroughly enjoyed all three books, seeing the character development, watching the plot unfold. Dont want to give any spoilers but the end blew me away!
Hope there will be many more books of this series.
Fabulous narrator who totally hits the mark with each character.

Sad that it ended….

Great story and wish there were more books coming….the ending felt a little rushed, but maybe that’s me just complaining it all ended too soon 😊

A mixed bag

Let me say I'm a big Feist fan. I enjoyed it in principle. I felt a bit mixed on this. The first book in this series was really good, the second was also very enjoyable. This third entry felt rushed and underdeveloped. I loved the epilogue and the link to some of Feists other writing but as far as conclusions to a trilogy goes this was rather disappointing. I'm always gonna read anything new by Ray but I must admit I have conflicting feelings on this book. Narration was great tho.

the narrator's acents

it ended and I felt sad, I didn't want it to end. I will miss the wonderful stories Raymond has written.
