Dr Mercola Makes complete sense

This is a Man you can believe (based on my opinion and the fact I have been subscribed to him for 5 years) Obviously he is making living selling products but it all relates back to the information/well being message he is trying to get across. The story told well and great content.
He means well

money grab as you need to buy a cook book

for me this was a bit disappointing to follow this plan you need need to purchase a subsequent cookbook to ensure your following the plan, i feel the recipes should be included in this book.

Overall content was ok, but nothing ground breaking if you follow the latest health podcasts, and cyclical keto diets are regularly discussed. The key part missing was the keto fast receipes that are the fasting days where you need to consume 300-600 kcal.

Excellent

This book has helped me understand ketones and helped me understand some other bodily functions and on the back of this I am going to attempt this diet to improve my health. All I a say is brilliant.

Loves an acronym

Not well referenced, unlike Jason Fung’s seminal book on fasting, which is quoted from, but is contradicted when it comes to toxin overload from fasting and extended fasts. Where are the references to studies highlighting the problematic toxin release while fasting? Not properly edited.... referred to growth hormone as being “catabolic” and that “one cell of glycogen is stored with three or pounds of water.” Relentlessly self publicising products and books and his app. Boring stuff about infrared saunas and how to make them.... very ocd about many things including weighing food and electromagnetic fields. The cyclic diet and “ketofast” don’t really make sense.

Don’t waste your money on this. The Complete Guide to Fasting, by Dr Jason Fung is an infinitely superior book. Well referenced and researched and far more interesting and informative.
