Summary
After nearly a decade as a professional drummer, Diana Petrell leaves her rock-star life behind to continue her residency in emergency medicine. She's determined not to let anything stop her - not even falling in love with her aloof mentor, Dr. Emily Barnes.
Emily has only ever focused on her career as a senior attending in the emergency department, and she isn't happy about having to babysit a resident with a 10-year gap in her resume, no matter how intriguing she is.

Heartbeat
I really enjoyed this story, the two main chacters had great chemistry, and I was rooting for them to get together, I liked the little bits of medical information, without it being too much medical based, it focused more on the attraction between Diana and Emily which I loved. The book was well written and as always the narrator Abby Craden is fantastic.

Loved it!
Fantastic book! A new favourite. Loved every minute of it and found myself grinning like an idiot for most of it. Already looking forward to more books by Chris Zett and will hope that future audiobooks are narrated by Abby Craden too, as listening to her narration was a joy as always!

wish Lori Price was narrator
Great story and characters all spoiled by Abbey Craden's overly affected narration. If Lori Prince had been narrating she would have brought the book to life instead of making me cringe so often. I still cannot give less than 5 stars though, because I appreciate Chris Zett's skilled writing and think Audible should include more of her work.
