About this listen
In fact, everything is perfect until family friend, Catherine Connelly asks Bella if she’d be willing to rent part of the house to freelance author, Jude who is researching the history of the Connelly Clan and Wynthorpe Hall ahead of turning his findings into a book. The plan had been for Jude to stay at the hall, but he can’t cope with the chaos and Bella reluctantly agrees to open her door to him.
Initially, the pair clash but then friendlier feelings begin to grow and Bella finds herself wondering if Jude could become more than just another guest before it’s time for him to leave. That is, until he announces he has no time for Christmas!
With her favourite time of the year suddenly in jeopardy, will Bella ever feel like she’s home for Christmas?

Good feeling seasonal story
Lovely book, performed perfectly as always by Karen Cass. It’s not, in my opinion, quite as absorbing as some of Heidi Swain’s earlier books. The story has less depth. But a nice enough bedtime easy going listen.

A great start to my Christmas 2024 reading.
New people same places and same faces. Well names. Except narration but the best there is.
And any novel that mention the town I grew up in has to be great. Oh that’s kings Lynn. Where the king would alight the train if he was going to sandringham. Well his mother did. Fabulous story

Christmas over load
I usual love Heidi books, but this one was long and boring. Just could not connect with the new characters. There was just no connection between them. The humour was missing.
