Summary
Join Sunday Times bestseller Heidi Swain in Nightingale Square for a sunshine and celebration filled summer…
Beth loves her job working in a care home, looking after its elderly residents, but she doesn’t love the cramped and dirty house-share she currently lives in. So, when she gets the opportunity to move to Nightingale Square, sharing a house with the lovely Eli, she jumps at the chance.
The community at Nightingale Square welcomes Beth with open arms, and when she needs help to organise a fundraiser for the care home they rally round. Then she discovers The Arches, a local creative arts centre, has closed and the venture to replace it needs their help too – but this opens old wounds and past secrets for Beth.
Music was always an important part of her life, but now she has closed the door on all that. Will her friends at the care home and the people of Nightingale Square help her find a way to learn to love it once more…?

Critic reviews
‘Heidi Swain weaves a life-affirming story about the power of community’ Woman's Own
‘A charming read full of summer warmth’ My Weekly
‘This is the fourth in Heidi Swain’s Nightingale Square series but you don’t need to read the first three books to enjoy this charming story. It’s unexpectedly refreshing to read a novel partly set in a care home where we meet the mischievous, delightfully entertaining residents in their 80s who Beth looks after’ Daily Express and Daily Mirror

Another lovely book
I enjoyed this book as all the others, but couldn’t take to Eli at all just taking off for no reason instead of talking just didn’t sit right with me.

What a fabulous book
Heidi Swain you’ve done it again, what an amazing book, loved it from start to finish, all the characters in it are amazing and make the book just perfect, I didn’t want it to end, and cannot wait till you write another book and we go back again to nightingale square.

Brilliant!
I absolutely love Nightingale Square and it's residents, I feel like I know them well and feel part of their community, so I was very much looking forward to this addition. Beth and Eli's journeys are great. New additions to the square although at seperate times, are of course welcomed by everyone.
There is something magical about Nightingale Square and the growWell garden, it just pulls everyone together. You can really feel the warmth and caring nature of the residents and with Karen Cass narrating she just brings it all to life. The only problem with this author and narrator I never want the books to end!

Brilliant!!!
To get me reacquainted with Nightingale Square, I listened to all the books again.
This latest episode slotted seamlessly alongside the rest.
I loved all the different characters in the book & have decided that Heidi Swain has some sort of knowledge of life in a care home to come up with all the different characters, especially Greta. She is by far my favourite.
I hope Heidi doesn't leave it long before the next book is out because I was really sad this one had to come to an end.
I would definitely recommend it.
